terrawombat
I guess I'll have to take it apart and maybe make my own :dunno: I will be doing that shortly as I'm getting sick and tired of having to squeeze the two levers to open the tailgate... Dirteatr717
In order for one to make their own they must first open the tailgate! Which I don't know how to do! I see the little scissor mechanism but I can't see up above that :help:

Very easy to remove, you need either Torx bits or regular sockets, I've seen trucks with both. Here's a link with more details half way down. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14645&hilit=Tailgate

I see the little scissor mechanism but I can't see up above that :help: There's enough of a gap between the bed, and the tailgate on my MJ to fit a thin flatblade screwdriver, and push the latch back on each side (one at a time), and open it. Dirteatr717
I tried with a few flatheads and nothing did the trick :dunno: I'll try again tomorrow with pliers since I know what to grab now and thanks for the link, I knew I've see a thread about it before and I even posted in it  -Nick
