only 1 word: MOOG

youl pay but you won't change no more

this is the one ! MOOG !! i have been working on autos etc for 30 some years -moog is my first tier ! for grease conklin rhino -this combo works very well --stay way from the white box parts -made in china by little old lady !

i just went out this morning and got some stuff to upgrade to solve this problem once and for all

draglink

tie rods steering damper

all moog

i needed some gloves...lol....and i got the heavier grease...i just thought it would be better

project went sooth as silk...thank god

i got done and noticed my end links.....remember this great idea i had about 6 months ago??

:shake: :shake:

anyways, after seeing the grease was pouring out of the thing and the top bushing was warped real bad, i replaced it with one of my sterling stinger specials...

these work great believe it or not...I'm currently making ones out of 5/8 cold rolled steel at work....there gonna be crazy strong.....

ok...."tell the captain were out of sugar"--:Cabin Boy....lolololol

look at your pic

it goes the same way that's on there

the big end goes on the shock with a zap-strap to hold it

and the other end slips over the the tip of the extending rod ( there is a groove for it in the boot)

maybe the boot is to long or.......

the shock is to long !!!

with all the parts you just changed I'm assuming its a steering damper

do you reach full steering on each side without the damper reaching full run ??

it might be just a faulty adjusment as you might need to move the damper

google this :

jeep steering damper bracket

i tought you were using one of those and not the original setting

I never reuse the original setting

reason: I always use beefier damper and then they don't fit

edit: your damper should have come with some brackets when you ordered it?
