Synthetic Trans Fluid.

Will any of the aftermarket synthetic trans fluid be a acceptable substitute for transmissions where Chrysler specifically calls for ATF+4?

I won't comment on any other company's product. But yes Amsoil ATF will work in transmissions specifying Chryco ATF+4. But the fuel efficient ATL is not recommended.

if it's in an aw4, dex/merc plus 3 is the ONLY thing you should run in it.

I use amsoil in everything BUT my AW4s. Or any Chrysler trans.

I use the c+atf in my Grand Cherokee that I am the orginal owner of. It has over 170,000 miles on it and have not had any problems with the transmission.
