landlubber Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 looking for a crossmember for a AX-15, closer to NH the better. thanks.
Unglar Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 I pulled an ax-15 at the jy and the crossmember looked exactly the same as the one on my peugot? is there a difference?
Geonovast Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 The AX-15 crossmember is dipped down in the middle about an inch compared to the other one. Sorry for the crappy pics, I'd take some better ones personally if I could, but this is the best Google has to offer. AX-4/5, Pukey, AW-4, TF whatever AX-15
Unglar Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Ack, so I need to go pull a cross member from the JY when I get around to replacing my peugot with this ax-15?
landlubber Posted November 7, 2010 Author Posted November 7, 2010 still looking, anyone have one? or know of any JYs where i'd have luck in NH or MA?
landlubber Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 best I can find is one in Indianan for $150. anyone got one?
Unglar Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Is that including shipping? I wonder what shipping is, cause I am pretty sure they are only like $10 at the pulla part.
mjeff87 Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 until you can find one, you can use a 1/2" transfer case drop kit with a "regular" xmember to make up the difference..... (basically stack 1/2" worth of washers between the xmember and the framerail and use some longer bolts ;) ) Jeff
Geonovast Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Using washers as a T-case drop can work, but I would drive carefully with it that way. You're greatly reducing the surface are that the crossmember has to push against the frame. Not saying you have to granny it, just don't pound on it.
MJRemi Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I'm in the same boat. I need to find a AX15 crossmember. I did see an adapter plate on Advance Adapters website that states it attaches to the BA/10 crossmember to specifically mount the NV3550 tranny. Isn't that the same as the AX15? The item # is 716007. Has anyone tried this adapter plate?
waggy Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 i have one , but i am in toronto , shipping might be a little steep ..
landlubber Posted December 15, 2010 Author Posted December 15, 2010 How much is steep? I'm in new hampshire, 03054

I did before snow hit, no luck. let me know if you run across any that you aren't claiming yourself. Went to candia a bit ago, no luck. Was going to go today but it was pouring. Still looking, would rather get the right crossmember now as opposed to running something rigged and less strong/sketchy.
