well started with a rad conversion and a new clutch fan, still need the newer overflow bottle, then put the truck under the knife..

going for this style of rear bumper with the side protection..

just a tought on your shackles..... hope you don't plan to run them like this???

cuz that will go flying on the first pull

 

 

not sure i understand, its 1/4 plate bolted to frame and come through the bumper. do they look like tabs welded on?

there is still more to be added, side's and center brace and a hitch, may add another 1/4 plated to each side of the plate for the shackle just to beef it up more- side bracing

it's ok that they run trough ( didn't see that ) but very good idea to add another layer on each side to beef them up and make sure

that when you put them on that them to go all the way trough :cheers: good job keep working on it

bumper still in progress, did a paint job, orange...flares and badging needs to be painted black now..

been awhile, got the bumper done..

wheeled it with some buddies, nothing broke, but they did..... next plan a bush recovery boom in the box...

 

1 plate frame

2 replace the 30/35 combo--- ford 44/60

3 boom in the box..

been a long winter, now for some updates....leaf sprung front axle and 410 gears.....:)

gotta love when guys put new parts on before checking other stuff....new leafs/shocks and some steering parts....body is shot........250 get it outta here.....lol and my beast in the back....

axle in....still some bracing to do and finish welding...

but she is sitting on the springs....

wheelbase is 113 3/4 both side....

 

oh and it may have the rear springs mounted to the front axle only 4 leafs the rear has 6??????

don't the front have more to support the engine/tranny???????

between the freak snow storm and the last 4 days of rain... this is all thats gotten done...still need to finish it up.....someday mother nature will help me out...

I'm very sorry that with your obvious fabbing skills you have opted to do leaf springs instead of control arms.

I like the front leaf conversion. I am planning on doing a MJ with tons, V8 power, and front leaves to play in the mud with. I like the whole "KISS" concept with leaves over long arms.
