1992 LE LWB 5.2 4x4 Auto, sold for $1800

She had all sorts of issues, was a pain to work on, IFS fail, and had horrible MPGs, so I'm glad I don't have it anymore, but it was my favorite 2nd gen dakota ever... Like the MJ more though, even though Red isnt as clean.

 

Wonder what an MJ would look like with this color scheme, anyone with good photoshop skills?

That would be a pretty easy photoshop on a blue or white truck.

 

It is always hard to forget your first love. Mine was a terrible running 90 YJ that would have made my MJ seem like a new caddy. Had a 4.2 with a slight knock and an AX15 with 2 shot syncros. I learned a lot with that rig but it wound up in pigeon ford TN.

It was a great truck except it guzzled gas. I bought the MJ so i could have a run around truck i could afford to drive,shortly after this happened.

 

we had a winter storm that brought some trees down.

i didnt sell any of my rides to get the mj, but when i got it i had a bronco and a police interceptor....

 

on a side note tho, i traded a dodge ram

for the bronco, and it turned out to be one of the biggest automotive mistakes i've ever made... the dodge ran great and got 18mpg (v6 5spd 2wd) and the bronco developed more problems than mike tyson and ended up just sitting after gas went up to 5.00/gallon and i bought the mj.... i ended up selling both the bronco and the cop car, and went back to gm's.. now i have this

My folks had a really nice 1994 Dodge Dakota extended cab, 4x4, V8...maroon with a topper. That was a really sharp looking truck for the time and it wasn't terrible on gas either. We promptly got rid of it because it had a heap of electrical problems. You'd be driving down the road, at any speed, and the truck would just die. You could crank and crank and crank and it wouldn't fire up. My mother was usually driving it when it happened and always had to call up my Dad to come and get her...when he arrived, the truck fired back up and was able to drive back home no problem. Took it to a few people and no one could figure it out. Wound up trading it in on a '98 GMC Sierra 3500 4x4 and 5.7L V8 (not a dually, though) with snow plow package (stiff front suspension) and trailer package (stiff rear suspension) - truck rides rougher than hell, but will pull anything.

Well we still live there, my dad is a custom home builder so we live in a pretty nice one. Unfortunately since the housing market crashed there isn't much demand for $1million+ homes so he's kinda in the hole now.

 

Thats the neighbors house in the picture, that wing is their indoor basketball court :drool:

thanks! are you referring to the mj or the bronco, crown vic or ram? either way, they all came from ebay....
