anyone currently having photobucket difficulties?

They recently changed the set up. It now shows recent uploads and if you right click/copy image location and paste you get a small (almost thumbnail) picture. I now have to go into my album and copy the location. Here are examples of the two procedures and results of the same file. However, I don't know if this is the problem you are describing.

I can't even upload to Photobucket any more. I try to add photos to an existing album that already has photos in it, and I get an error message telling me the album name is invalid.

Why is it that every time some web site gets "improved," it gets slower, clunkier, and more problem-prone? It's disgusting to contemplate that people are actually being PAID to create these problems.

I have all ways had trouble with photo Bucket. However in all fairness to PB, I'm not sure if it's PB, or my own ineptitude. Must agree 100% with Eagle. Why do they take a site that is functioning 5X and "improve" it?

Well, I haven't figured anything out...

BUT... with my desktop puter, I used to use Photoshop Elements. It was an extra step, but really nice to re size and crop as well as retouch images. I attempted to install it on this lap top but its not compatible with Vista.... :wall: So I did a little search and came up with a freeware program that allows for much of the same things as Elements. (Albeit no where near as in depth) It seems to work well enough.

I deleted the images on PB. I logged out and shut down the link. I reopened and re logged in to PB. I uploaded the newly sized and renamed pic files. I entered them into my posts. Only when I opened those posts, the old pics where still visible!! I expected to see the PB disclaimer that the files where missing or unavailable. SO, I guess it was getting linked form somewhere else?????

OH-WELL... I found a fix and its pretty easy. www.picturesizer.com

CW, Vista has a utility called "compatibility mode" that allows you to run older software. I can't walk you through it, but we had to use that to get a language translation program to run on my wife's notebook. A tech support guy from the software publisher walked me though it. You can probably find instructions via Google.

PB a pain in the a--. It use to work fine. However now I ,am lucky to pull up 1 of 10 pics. Half the time I jump to PB and copy pic & come back to find the post I'm working on wiped out. I must be doing sum thun wrong. But like I say it worked in the past. Tried to post to DIY last night but finally gave up out of frustration.
