carcrafter87
Does anyone know where to get a cad motor I called the local jeep dealership and he quoted me $360.00 i would manually lock it before i pay that much.
kro10000
Oreillys sells them and probably other auto parts stores... Cheapest way would be a junkyard... IIRC the oreillys one is around $70-$
Eagle
Just engage it and shim it in the engaged position. Send $350 to me and I saved you ten bucks. You're welcome.
jimoshel
:agree: There is no reason what soever to engage, disengage The front axle. If you feel you must, adapter cable assemblies can be bought from Ebay and other online sources to manually operate it. They $75. Now, if I can just get a cut from Eagle. carcrafter87
do you recommend permanently locking it if it is a daily driver. i mean besides the fuel mileage will it wear other parts out quickly.
jimoshel
Yes. No.
mnkyboy
It won't hurt anything, actually all 242 equipped XJs and 1991 and up XJs came without the CAD. IIRC CAD on Jeeps went away completely when the YJ went away in 95.
