wannabeMJ
how much lift will grand cherokee coils will give me? I think i read before it was 4.5'' and with a SOA in the back will the truck be level? only with these mods do I have to change the UCA and LCA? I also know that the LCA from a grand cherokee are stiffer then the oem but are they longer? I know about the brakes lines YJ lines in the front and dakota 95 in the rear remember this very low budget mods lolll
LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW
What type of Grand Cherokee? ZJ Coils from a V8 equipped model will give 1-1.5" lift. ZJ Coils from a non-V8 equipped model will give you no lift. WJ Coils will not fit into the XJ/MJ as the coil diameter is wrong. WK Coils will not fit into the XJ/MJ as the coil diameter is also wrong. SOA in the rear will net anywhere from 5-7" of lift based on the condition and type (2wd/4wd) of factory leafs it came with. Your going to want a 6.5" coil in the front to make it look correct. WJ control arms are no longer than your factory arms currently are.

Geonovast
Hellcreek. The owner is a member here on CC, and gives a discount to members. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=19998 a 4.5" lift shackle would have to be at least 10 inches longer than stock... would look horrendous and no doubt cause you a ton of problems. mvusse
I ran 4.5" in the front for a short while running 33x12.50s and had problems with the wheel hitting either the back or front of the wheel well when steering on anything but a perfectly smooth road. I couldn't find a sweet spot in between. I then added 1.75" spacers and all was good. 33x11.50 or 33x10.50 should work. 35x12.50 will not, and I don't think there are any narrower 35s. I now run 6.25" up front (4.5" spring plus 1.75" spacers) and 35x12.50 tires. With this setup the 35s will need very aggressive bump stopping, or a LOT of cutting. Even with cutting, bump stopping is still needed to keep them from getting jammed into the wheel well.
LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW
I disagree with Marcel... I know it's an XJ (but hey the rear wheel openings are smaller on the XJ's); but I run 35's on 5" of lift on my XJ and 33's on 3.5" of lift on the wife's XJ. A lot goes into factor other than just lift height. Wheel width and backspacing play a major role as well. MY XJ on 35's w/5" lift Wife's XJ on 33's w/3.5" lift It's all in how you setup your suspension. Both of XJ's have a score of over 800 on a 30deg RTI ramp. Pete M
35 inches is a lot of tire. backspacing, bumpstopping and trimming will all be very important.

Pete M
And yet my 88 4.0/3.07 sucked in a major way when I went to ginormous 30" tires. :( 3.55s fixed it right up. :D
