got to finish the windshield today didn't feel like it ( 35°C here and no cloud in the sky )

 

but did it any way

sorry no pics of the work itself but 1 of the final result

 

 

still have to sand it down and finish it

I will have to grind the rear fenders and prep for paint then

probably next weekend will start painting

oh yeah I will also be ordering the new clutch kit for the truck

Its a long weekend for me so I hope to acomplish a lot in 4 days

 

for today prep for paint

finish sanding the last bondo spots

finish sanding the body

cleaning the body

then taping everything for tommorow

 

oh yeah and turning the garage in a paint booth lolllllll

 

tommorow will be priming the cab and the bed (hope everything goes well)

 

now gotta go work on the truck

today is going to waste its pouring outside so to much humidity for painting in my garage

 

got everything primed but the doors and the bed because I still have to fix one of the door

 

but everything looks great so far

Good luck with the painting in your garage! I did the same thing on mine... it turned out okay. I was just getting done with the last coat and my dad came charging into my shop with a swift fling of the door waving all of the plastic I had hanging up dropping dust all over my truck. MAKE SURE YOU LOCK YOUR DOORS BEFORE THE FINAL COAT!!! Great job on the rest of the truck! I like the idea of bringing something back from the dead.

I got to put the clear coat on it but ran out so the tailgate, the fenders and the front grill are not done yet

:fs2: damn crapytire who only keep 3 cans on stock but realy its only 2 so........

 

the good news is that the color did darken a little and looks more like I wanted

I know that but when I shrink them they still show up as big as they were before

 

 

 

now I'm just having trouble putting the tranny back on

she holds pressure real nice and no leaking got to love it

 

now it time for and going to see the expendables

yeah stupid me I apparently threw away the hockey stick door handle so I had to put back the regular ones

I also f*cked up the speaker grill and that was the only option that was left for them.......

 

and when I went to put back the exterior door handles both studs broke off :fs2:

now I'll have to go to the junk yard sometime next week

 

now only minor details to finish it

update for this weekend:

 

finish the rear brake

-95 dakota flex line 41$

finish upgrade fore the cluster change

-oil sending unit 30$

-thermostat housing 16$

-new temp sending unit??

still waiting on my new door handle bought on EBAY

and cut the damn grass if it stop raining outside

that should be it for saturday ........

I went to start the beast up and its a no go the fuel pump don't work

well it does cuz I jumped it and it worked so Ill have to go back to check the wirring

and the XJ to rear MJ harness post that I just printed out to do

I also ordered my ajustable track bar from motion offroad

great place to buy stuff Adam is a nice guy to talk to

I had ordered my YJ brake lines for the front but the guy at the shop never ordered them

so instead of getting them today I will get them tuesday

with those all brake lines will be new

 

the booster and master was replace today found them at the JY for 25$ a piece

 

and also while there my girlfriend said to me .......... why didn't you take them off the comanche over there ????

 

what there is a comanche here?? to my surprise they just got a 2.5L LWB white with beige interior

I was so hoping to see a dana44 or an AMC 20 under but no luck but a nice find for replacement......

I'm a proud dad of a baby boy born on the 15th of Novembre so that's why no update in a long time

 

now I got time and money to finish it

I was hopoing to get the windshield installed at home but to cold now for that ill have to get it towed over there .........

and the rear drive shaft will be done next week

shorten and balanced

 

the test drive should be in 2 weeks
