wannabeMJ Posted May 8, 2010 Author Share Posted May 8, 2010 well with the rain and snow we had this week I couldn"t do any work so I kept myself busy when I took out the bench seat I kind of f*cked up my seat mount so i fixed it yesterday and installed it today I had to cut the top part that atatch to the seat and redo it I used an angle bar 3/16 thick and started mocking one up here is the part that I did and the seat bracket once I've wirewheel them and painted now a couple on the seat and the fit test ...... like a glove soon Ill finish the interior by replacing the dash where it belongs and putting all the interior back in and tommorow my friend is comming to give me a hand and get the front suspension done Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wannabeMJ Posted May 8, 2010 Author Share Posted May 8, 2010 finaly got to put up the front suspension and on the way did little things that I won't have to do later on everybody said that the LCA on the diff use to hit on the metal bracket on the diff so I cut that and the UCA use to hit underneath the arm bracket so cut that to also out with old and in with the new 4,5'' longer some pics on the way and with the diff out of the way and now the truyck at new ride height thats 25'' at the door step Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wannabeMJ Posted May 9, 2010 Author Share Posted May 9, 2010 today I went to wall-mart and bought myself 2 sets of speakers I wasn't quite sure if they would fit I know the doors were 5 1/2'' but I bought 6 1/2'' and suprisingly they do and I also bought 6x9 for the rear so I will do new bracket so fit them I didn't have originals in the first place anyway now I need to get a new deck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wannabeMJ Posted May 17, 2010 Author Share Posted May 17, 2010 well Ive worked on the truck this weekend almost finalised the inside of the truck and all the wiring thanks to the thread on the '' how to connect the XJ harness to the rear MJ one '' made my life quite easy I also installed the rear speakers and the dash here is a couple of pics I took that's the speaker and the bracket I made with the dash I saw that in an other project thread and I tought it would look nice with the black interior and finally a shot with the passenger seat in with all the interior Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

wannabeMJ Posted June 26, 2010 Author Share Posted June 26, 2010 just found an other 86 long box in town for sale !!! should have bought this one for my project .........but its........ gold :yes: no its ok now the guy was in a front end crash and the grill and the fenders needed to be replaced but I got it for 100$ and the 2.8L works good :???: I think I just robbed the poor old man I offered him 100 and he said yes so next weekend Ill be the owner of an other MJ that will my 4th jeep in the yard but the next monday 2 of them are going to the JY I'm quickly gonna part the other MJ then send it on it's way if you want parts come to medicine hat july long weekend (but I keep the bed) the rest is up to grab Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wannabeMJ Posted July 3, 2010 Author Share Posted July 3, 2010 got the other manche yesterday :beerhead: it had a prestone leak but still made it to my place so I got to work and started taking everything away from underneath the bed then with the help from the girlfriend and the roommate we got the topper off then we switch box from my truck to this one then I went on to fix my cab corner fixing the rocker panel first then the actual corner hopefully it will look nice when I finish the body work also had a prestone leak from the waterpump gasket wich was installed 2 weeks ago :fs2: changed it again and still had a leak so I said f*ck it and put gasket maker instead and it worked nicely (so far) more to come soon as its a long weekend here and I will work some more sorry for the pics size Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
