ECU Location

This might be an odd one but where is the ECU located on the Comanche?

The ECU is located underneath the instrument panel between the steering column and heater A/C housing. The ECU is mounted to a bracket by three screws :thumbsup:

That's for 1986 thru 1990. The 91 and 92 have the ECU next to the air intake box on the inside of the left front fender.

Thanks to both. It's a 1990 and it was between the steering column and the heater/ac unit.

Where is the test connections for the SMEC or ECU on a 1988 Comanche ?

Whew....just a  little duty of a thread. 

 

Are you refereeing to an OBD style connector? If so Renix doesn't have that. Only option is a REM from nickintimefilms.

Under the Renix relay cover by the right fender. You can use a Snapon scanner with the proper adapter also
