Here is a 3 inch lift for under $350.00, including new springs and shocks. I wonder If the rubber hose lines will be long enough or do you have to replace them? :chillin: http://www.roughcountry.com/Jeep_MJ_3in.htm

Tired suspension diagnosis

What do you think about this 3 lift for under $350.00 including new springs, new shocks. I am strongly thinking in this direction. Would you have to replace the rubber hose brake lines? :hmm: http://www.roughcountry.com/Jeep_MJ_3in.htm -

Thanks for the infor as far as the antenna mount, mine was through the top of the rear bumper on the drivers side end. The only problem that i saw was the top of the bumper was not strong enough to support a wip antenna swinging. So when I mount it back in place, i will strengthen the support based on the underside of the bumper with a piece of steel maybe like 4 inches by 4 inches by 1/16 inch thick. What do you think? :chillin:

Can someone with a little knowledge in Eletronics tune a wip antenna? How do you do it, and with what tools? Where can I buy a sealed or weather proof cable -meaning from the radio inside the cab to the rear bumper? What size cable would you use? What type of antenna would you use? :hmm: Seems like you have more knowledge than me I have a CB in my truck that I have not had the time to check it out yet -The main unit is mounted behind my seat with the mic up front with all the bells on whistles on it - what do I have? :hmm:

I think my fuse panel has had to much to drink
RLCollins replied to RLCollins's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Already installed the new clutch, and brake master cylinders they were both BAD. And yes I want to see some pictures of the panel changeout- Do you just cut the wires and splice in a new panel, or do you take it to the stak-ons? If so; do the stak-ons just pull out of the plastic panel or what? Do you rebuild it, I've done that before too, or how do you do it. I am an Electrician and have change many Electrical Services and panels out in my lifetime, just never had done it to an automobile before, so what do I do? :help: -
What do you do with a fuse panel that has had to much brake fluid to drink? This was before I owned this MJ, and there is a hole in the floor underneath the fuse panel the size of a shoftball. The fuse panel has four bad spots in it, that only has one clip on one side, and two clips on the other side which is holding the fuse in place. I have wedge a piece of copper in place on this one side only, to help make a complete connection until I figure out how to properly repair this problem. I have not bypassed the fusing capability, just wedge the piece of copper on the one side to keep the circuit operational. What would you do? :hmm:

thanks for the pictures of the external slave cylinder

How do you tell the difference between an AX-4 or 5 and an AX-15? I saw an 1996 2.5 4 cylinder XJ in the bone yard this morning with a stick, I don't know which tranny it is. IIRC an AX-15 has a center piece added in the middle of the housing, but what about an AX-4 or 5 what is the difference? Also the external slave cylinder IIRC started in 1993 is this true? :hmm:

What spare parts, and tools would you keep in your truck at all times while traveling long distances, for your survival from break-downs from failing equipment? :hmm:
-
paradiseMJ what is a "CAT" as you have listed on your sensor list? did you mean "CAP" like in distributor "CAP"? :hmm:
-
yep - I hear you Godblazer, I have to agree with you, Eagle thanks for looking it up in the FSM, Gary is thinking along the same lines, and so is KYMJ. And The results are in - there is a four out of five vote for lubricant. So I will try it, and also check the cable for kinks. It's great to see people of the same page.
-
Thanks Rob I will try it

Do you remember as a child, that one person in your life that pointed a wobbly index finger at you when you were bad? Well; it reminds me of what my speedometer is doing. It pulses between two and three miles an hour at any given speed :hmm: The speedometer has not been used in approximately two years. Does the speedometer cable need to be lubricated? What would you use? OR am I looking at this wrong? What would you do? :hmm:

The Wizard of OZ Is 70 years old. Today, if Dorothy were to encounter Men with no brains, no hearts, and no courage - She wouldn't be in Oz... She'd be in Congress!

I know, I have seen it somewhere on this site. :???: Where in the world would somebody with CRS find the abbreviation to the words? :chillin:

:hijack: yep here's another round to add to CW's Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately -- illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida .. .... not me -- I concentrate on solutions for the problems -- it's a win-win situation. Think about this: 1. Cows 2. The Constitution 3. The Ten Commandments COWS Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow. THE CONSTITUTION They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq .... why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore. THE 10 COMMANDMENTS The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this -- you cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal' 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians ... it creates ahostile work environment. Also, think about this ... if you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone -- YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM! It is time for America to speak up! Yep, I passed it on
