jpnjim Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 This guy is amazing, AND, he's selling one: http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums/sh ... p?t=512874 I could see this same bed on an MJ.   The tailgate is a (cutdown) FSJ, anyone who's read this recently want to remind me where he got the fenders? (Chevy style, just like the Downey conversion beds for Toyota's 'back in the day')
oldrusty Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 he cut down and sectioned a chevy fender. Then used that fender to make a mold so he can make them from fiberglass.
BPB Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 For a clasic truck I think its way cool. Not a very good egress angle though!
Eagle Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I want to know what he used to make that thing behind the pickup. Looks like he grafted the rear body half from a Mercedes Gelandewagen onto a CJ-7 chassis.
dunl Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Here's a Brute from one of our guys up here in Alberta. http://www.na4wda.org/index.php?PHPSESS ... ic=1615.15 It'd been real nice if he had gone with a Comanche. :brows:
terrawombat Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I want to know what he used to make that thing behind the pickup. Looks like he grafted the rear body half from a Mercedes Gelandewagen onto a CJ-7 chassis. It's a CJ-8 Scrambler chassis with an Alaskan Postal Service world cab. See http://home.roadrunner.com/~jscherb/scrambler/ for his build on that project. The craziest thing about that truck is his asking price: $7,500 without the world cab. For as much work as he did to the body and engine of that car, that price is a STEAL!
