mjeff87
Just an update to the club, Pingpong (Pat) was in an accident last weekend at an annual run down here. It happened post-run last Friday night, after everyone was off the trails and back at camp. He was a passenger in, of all things, a golf cart  , and got tossed out when the driver made a stoopid maneuver. He's got a broken tib/fib in his right leg below the knee, and a broken left foot, and will be in rehab for a good while. He's in good spirits, though (he called me from the back of the ambulance transporting him from UVA med center to the rehab facility). I'll post more details when I can......his wife is rigging up a laptop for him so he can commo from rehab, so he may check in also. Jeff

mvusse
Golf carts should be banned. They are death traps! A few years back my nephew was riding shotgun when my niece was driving a golf cart around their property (drive in theatre). Someone yelled "WATCH OUT!", she hit the brakes, he got launched head first into a steel pole. 5 stitches and a concussion.
DirtyComanche
Best of luck on the recovery Pong. Obviously, a set of 5-points for the cart would be a good investment.

dunl
Tell him if we don't see him pulling a winch line in his teeth from his truck, hopping on crutches through a major mud hole.....we don't believe him. :D Tell him best of luck....glad it wasn't one of those stupid accidents when someone gets paralyzed. :(
Eagle
That's going to be hard to live down. Speedy recovery, Mr. Pong. Hopefully, by the time you get that laptop running you will have had time to develop a suitable cover story for such an ignominious incident. dasbulliwagen
Something like that happened to my cousin, his leg got crushed somehow in a golfcart accident screwing around, and by screwing around, I mean, Stealing golfcarts from a local course and vandalizing the property. He ended up geting a bone infection and lost his leg. You just can't screw around on them things!
