Comanche County Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 What does my wife keep complaining about? Is there something wrong with liking old jeeps and scouts like this one,,,,and likin' to beer with guys who have em? I might buy it just to make her mad. http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1060891507.html
WahooSteeler Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I love those little guys. It's a member of my "dream fleet".
Pete M Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Rust free, runs and only 500 smackers?! maybe it's a good thing I don't have money or land. :D Not!!
Pete M Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I got to wheel with one of Rick's buddies in Moab and he brought one of his Scouts. This was apparently one of the better condition versions. :shake: It was fun watching it bounce up and down on the body mounts. :D
69CamaroSS Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 lol i like the guys description of the thing. atleast he's honist :D
Comanche County Posted March 6, 2009 Author Posted March 6, 2009 "It has the 304 V8 and if you can ignore the blown exhaust gasket, it sounds pretty good." I love that!
Joop Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 "this one actually starts and creates forward motion" What more can you possibly ask for? :dunno: :rotf: :clapping:
Wildman Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 That the kind of thing, you just need to buy it from the add alone. :teehee: For what it worth.......I ran into a guy last year, that his buddy 're-built', had no top at all, not the half or full, and wanted $4500 for it :hmm: Running and no rust.........yea, it's a buyer :D
Jimmy Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 That's not ugly at all. That thing is beautiful. It needs some love, but it's a great starter for a project. If I were closer, I'd be all over it. I'm from the heart of the rust belt. I thought Scouts came from the factory with see-through body panels. You mean brown lace was not a styling trend in '70's American cars???
WyoCherokee Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Thats a pretty good deal for a quick build up. just rough sand that puppy and throw a $50 flat black rattle can job on it and you got yourself a good runner
Comanche County Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 Well, if anyone is interested I can contact him.
