Remove the clock and check the small instrument panel bulb mounted on the back side. I think it is a #74. thats the usual problem

They use an LCD display, and that's what usually burns up when they fail.

 

So if the LCD is actually showing up, just dim at heck, then it's likely a bulb and not the LCD?

I have the same problem with my clock, I think it works but can't really see it. That's a great link,,,,I'm going to get started while my head is in the shop getting rebuilt. :thumbsup:

Yes. If the display is working but dim, probably needs a new backlight bulb. They got rid of the bulb in 91 and it's much brighter.
