MiNi Beast Posted February 16, 2009 Share Posted February 16, 2009 Who has done shock mount relocating in the rear upper mounts? Need to tilt mine in for better working ability. I know someone has done this, can't find the thread, who was it? Something like the JKS setup conversion, just need to be homebrew as funds are low from other upgrades. LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW Posted February 16, 2009 Share Posted February 16, 2009 Uhm... they are already tilted "in" on your XJ... It's much easier to do on the MJ's since it's a rear frame. On the XJ's you need something that ties into the factory mounting location or the rear seatbelt bolts like the Cross Enterprises one does. Other wise if I could weld I'd be all over it. IDK what I was thinking really maybe it was the MJ build up one I was, but I think I may need to just wait and deal with it in the mean time. On a hydro shock you want the body of the shock on the bottom. On a nitro shock it does not matter as much. Ultimately I'd do what the manufacture recommends.
