I'm soon planning on putting in one of those factory XJ dash clocks in my MJ. Behind the blank panel that all of comanches came with, is the plug already there or do you have to do some sort of wiring to make the clock work??

Please tell me the wires are back there and its just a plug and chug deal!!! :D

Yes, the plug will be there on your 91. The 91 clock was unique, so make sure you get your clock from a 91 XJ/MJ. Otherwise you will have to mod the plug wiring if you get a different year clock.

I actually just pulled the big dash piece out, and I didn't really see anything that looked like a plug. There was however a bunch of three wires, two of which went to the cig lighter, the other wire just ran into an end plug that was just laying in there. Is that the connection for the clock or something else??

Tomorrow morning I'll be pulling the donor clock from a 91 XJ and then hopefully tomorrow night I'll have time to ATTEMPT at putting it in.

Thanks

If you're pulling from the donor XJ, just take note of the wiring, it will be the same for your MJ.

If the donor is at the JY you may want to take the plug with you also. I have found this to be useful, and that way you have it if yours doesn't, making the wiring for it a little easier. :wavey:
