I need to know the distance from the centre of the hub to the bottom of the fender flare on a stock MJ at normal ride height.

Okay, thanks wildman, that's good enough. I only needed front to verify that my XJ is definatly not stock. I didn't trust the XJ'ers because they are flaky.

 

 

Looks like it's been lifted 1.5"~ in the front, and 3.5"~ in the back.

Actually, the official heights from my 91 brochure are:

 

XJ : 63.2

2wd MJ : 63.6

4wd MJ : 64.6

 

Not sure if they are all with the same size tires.

I think he was asking about hub to bottom of fender flare? If so my 2wd 2.5L is 18" almost exactly in the front. Didn't measure the back yet.

Those are in inches and measure from the ground to the roof (the dealership brochures won't contain much truly pertinent data). I just wanted to show that an XJ won't necessarily have the same height measurements as an MJ.

Anyways, I just had to compare it to something, I never realized cherokees were so low from the factory.

I've measured a bunch of them and it should be around 21-1/2". I keep hearing that the 2WD should sit an inch lower, but I don't know if that comes from any official cource. That would put a 2WD truck almost on the bump stops with no load.
