What are th odds that this MJ has 4.10 gears?

As most of you fellas might know, I've been looking for 4.10 gears and this might be it.

 

Can you tell me if this truck would have 4.10's? The owner doesn't know.

Shoot, MJ with a D44 for $700. Buy it, part it, and use the money you make to re-gear the D44. I mean you might find someone to re-gear your current axle for about $700 (not around here) but for the same price you can have a whole truck. :brows: Just my $.02.

That thing should be saved, not parted out for an axle. If you find a newerish XJ with a 2.5 and 5 speed you should be able to get a 4.10 geared Chryco 8.25

car-part.com shows 3 late model 8.25s with 4.10 gears in Mass for $250 each. Go get one! And if there is a matching front axle at the yard, get that too!
