  1. Most top of the line laptops will be crippled by Vista. Do not put Vista on a budget computer. I am not a Windows hater I have been looking at laptops and am in the computer industry.
  2. My left turn signal does not work because the middle bulb has an intermittent connection. It lights with braking so its not the bulb. Does anyone know if the 1/4 turn bulb socket is the same as a Cherokee? The wiring is pretty corroded and I think it would be easier to replace then try and restore.
  3. Alright I have been putting up with electrical problems from the day I bought my MJ. 88' I6 4.0 no AC. I have replaced the battery, alternator and upgraded the wiring with Kelley's http://www.geocities.com/JeepI6Power/electric.html I am still not getting any current through my ignition controlled acc line. I get 12 Vdc but can't run much. Some wire must be undersized. I am thinking it may be the fusible links I hear so much about but Where are the fusible links?
  4. I agree it would be heavy. I wonder what would be the best balance of strength and weight. What are the hitch mount ones made out of?
  5. I drew this up when I was stuck on the road for work. I was hoping Mark at Detours would consider building it. I know it would need some polishing but what do you guys think?
  6. I run 5-90's cables and an Optima red top. I haven't had a problem since. When I used to run a cheapo battery with clamps and no tie down for the battery I had some issues.
  7. Well I haven't put any up other then all over the fridge in the garage. But my wife was wanting to carve pumpkins. So I started to do tire treads all around but that got old quick.
  8. Has anyone looked at http://www.cafepress.com/ limited colors but no minimum. This is what another club did http://www.cafepress.com/pnw4x4s
  9. I work with a guy from our Shanghai office and got him to look up the Jeep 2500 in Chinese. He said the 2 wheel drive is just under $15k and the 4x4 is $17k and change. Thats cool but from what I found online importing a vehicle can cost as much as it was to buy. Maybe we could just buy front clips and dashboards.
  10. I have been happy with mine. Its about 19x20x47 and sits down in the box nicely. Its made by Knaack/Weather Guard. I would guess its model 674-5 http://www.knaacksecure.com/content.cfm ... gory_id=15 Shop around I picked it up on Craigslist for $125 but that took procrastination... I mean patience
  11. Not sure if its been posted but 3 minutes in there is a comanche. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 4347461375
  12. Can you guys post/link to the images in a print worthy quality?
  13. Alright so should we be concerned that the hacker may have gotten our pass words?
  14. We will have to take a road trip so we can get some Comanches photographed with this scenery. http://www.4x4offroads.com/4x4-snow-and ... okull.html This is from the United Four Wheel Drive Association news letter. I would suggest that ComancheClub.com join but not at $1000 a year. What do you guys think is UFDA worth joing as an individual?
  15. Pete, What exactly are you looking for? What file format do you need the image saved as? How many colors do you want it reduced to? I haven't done this since college so don't hold your breath.
  16. Saw this over on Jeepforum For more interesting Jeeps and cars check it out. http://www.mattsoldcars.com/gallery/kenosha2004/
  17. Saw this on Jeep Forum I don't know what to say. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-Com ... 8701QQrdZ1
  18. No suggestions on using a temp sensor? I am bad enough turning off the lights there is no way I will remember to turn off a fan. Like I said I get relay theory. I just designed a factory air compressor that uses a 24V signal to switch 480V.
  19. This may be here cause I can't seem to get a decent search on the topic. I never had AC and never had an electric fan as far as I can tell. I looked and don't see any of the wiring for one (temp switch or power plug). Am I missing something or do I have to wire it from the battery thru a relay and control the relay with a temperature switch? I know all the relay theory etc What I need is part numbers and things to salvage from a pick-n-pul. For the relay, temp switch (where to locate) and anything else I am forgetting.
  20. I am not going to take the time to sort them more then already are but here is a link to my website links. http://home.comcast.net/~rossmd/Rossmd/Jeep%20Links.htm
