tommorow is half price day at JY. those springs were still there but i have been super busy the past week. told my boss i won't be in to early tommorow so i can go and get them.

because it had 4.10s cheaper to get one peice shafts at the JY than to get an axle with the wrong gear ratio then swap over.

well. used the washer for now. also got a posi-lok for 50 dollars. waiting for it currently! first chance to mildly flex it hopefully get it out on a trail this weekend. the hotel i wokr at is hosting the Giants and has kept me busy so we will have to see about going out!

well, got a lot done recently! pulled my transmission and got the new one in comparing the two trans. 4x4 on the right after getting it installed and a night time late flex shot.. best i could find at my house. gonna try to do a shakedown run tomorrow sometime. also need to hit the JY for Some springs for Offfroad461.

sorry.. figured he knew he needed a trans.... yeah, you need one of those too....

how did people go about getting that rigged up? I am thinking about using wahsers and shimming but would like to just make it work with the vacuum for now... what did you do to make it work?

you should be able to find a 231 for a good price at a pick and pull. I can get one for 75 dollars on half price day. I would stick with the jeep 231. I doubt that 208 is going to work. different input and bolt pattern perhaps. why waste your money on something you are not sure will work. check novak adapters website they have alot if information on xfer cases tehre.

like i said on naxja, I will check the JY for those other coils. If they are there i'lll scoop em up.

i will be going 1 more inch in the back but i am still worried about the compression of it. it is way to tight there. i am going to hit them up tomomow and see what they will do for me.

yeah the only measurement i gave them was how they wanted it done on their website. from seal on tcase to most outside edge of yoke on axle. done that and it is a super tight fit. kind of bummed i wanted to drive today. I actaully paid more because this shop was recommended to me. I could have got it for 50 less.

well, got it back today and i'll be darned if they still have it to long. put the thing in but I don't even have 1/2 inch compression.. closer to 1/4. super tight fit. barely went past the flange.. i hope they stand behind their work cuz it need to be shorter.... maybe by an inch even.

i soooo want to build a mj jeepspeed...

good thing i waited.. came out measured at 52.25.. only 6 inches shorter...

the funny part is the AZ field is a DOME. Now tell me why we need a dome here when the temps never drop elow the 30s? Kind of takes the fun out of it.. if we played in the middle of the summer i would like the dome...

what is funny i got a 720 dollar 3.5 superflex kit for 120 bucks and all the parts were in great condition. anyways on with your build man! :cheers:
