That would be replaced with a Peterbuilt emblem, any of those blue ovals.and it will also get the Cummins emblem on the fenders as well. even the steering wheel will see a Peterbuilt emblem. Custom bades would be made to make it a "P550". the XLT package would be a must, however, for the comfort. It will be like no other.

(click the big image for the article!) Saw it in Diesel Power magazine a few months back. It's probably the best purpose built rig I have seen. It has a Cummins 5.9 with some nice performance mods, and some other fun stuff. Although, for my own, I'm thinking a little something extra to really set it apart. The frame would end up being way stronger than a stock F550, and the rear axle would be a slightly narrowed rear axle out of a big rig. My color choice would be either dark metallic blue, or metallic black, either of which with a little ghostly design tossed in to keep it original. I want my truck to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Anybody have a 98-06 f250-550 cab and front clip they would like to donate? :D

Project Hawaii FOUR-O update

Love the lemon and lime idea, but you can make it blueberry and lime lol. I saw the KJ bar on a white MJ with the MOAB rims a while back, and I thought it was one of the cleanest looking MJ's I have ever seen. Made it stand out from the crowd for sure. Since I saw it, I have been throwing the KJ bar around as well. I'll see if I can find the MJ I was talking about... -
You tell me. I have no clue...

Went over to my buddy's shop today to drop off some 1/4" steel I marked for new LCA axle brackets. He's going to cut it for me over the weekend, while I visit my dad in FL. I came home with my speedo gear, and a new front driveshaft. Now, if Only I can figure that rear driveshaft out, I'll be all set for business.

OK, an MJ's tank is long, and mounts on the driver wide, under the bed, between the uniframe and the driveshaft. An XJ's tank is wide, and mounts behind the rear axle. Essentially, I'm going to either be mounting my XJ tank in the spare tire area, or at least in the front of the bed for the next few weeks, until I can make some more permanent provisions like a fuel cell or something.

Mine will... :D

Yesterday, I skinned both of my thumbs working on my transfer case...

The current schedual is for me to get the tcase bolted up to the tranny on Monday, when I return from my vacation, and then bolt them to the engine, and slide em in hopefully by Tuesday night. Wednesday will be a bunch of getting the weiring harness led around (anybody want to buy me a bunch of those zip tie clip thingies???) Thursday will be spent putting the dash and steering column in. Friday will be spent fixing my floor, and making some brackets for the new seats to mount to. Then the following week will be down to driveshafts (probably some redneck ones for now...), front suspension, and axles, meaning by next Friday, it should be running and ready to roll onto the trailer for it's maiden voyage at Bradford!

No fret, mine said XJ before I power washed under my hood, now, theres not much of it left. My 98XJ said LJ or something, and my 93XJ was another marked XJ. I have no clue why those big letters changed around, must have been a code for something... -

My reply:

OK, I have a NP231-J out of a 93XJ, the XJ had a 4.0/ax-15 combo. I am in the middle (near end, really...) of swapping the tail shaft and tail housing and other gizmos inside to stuff from my 98XJ. The 98XJ had a 4.0/AW4 combo, with a NP231-J Before I finish putting my 231 back together for the SECOND time, I want to know if I can leave the 93's input shaft/gear/whatever it is alone so it will hook up to a AW4 from a 96XJ. Keep in mind, this tcase is being swapped from a 93 w/ax-15 to a 96 w/aw4 trannies. The engines, I know have no differences. I think i have all the details, I just need an answer.

Spent all day working on my transfer case, swapping my tail shaft, tail housing, and a part inside for newer/stronger components. Essentially, my broken 98's tail shaft, tail housing, and the one gear in it were all swapped into my 93 tcase, to upgrade to a sealed unit. I put it all back together, and then look at the other workspace, and "WTF?!?! A SPRING!!!!!!" Had to take everything back apart to put the spring back on the shift rod. Right now, it's at a standstill, I ran out of RTV silicone. I also cleaned the oil sump, and cleaned the magnet.

Go to radio shack tomorrow and get whatever they have for like 40-50 bucks. it will be low quality, but better than nothing.

Put it in your pool to work the bugs out. then it is cooled. (like in "Billy Madison) My jet skis (haven't used them in a year or more) have a screw in thing thing on the back of the haul that is a one way pressure activated valve. look for something like that, although, mine are 2000 Sea Doo something or other millennium editions...

I like these two!

I don't want to rain on BrettM's parade, because I think he has a GREAT product...but I made my own for under $20. Its not as clean, and a little more confusing to operate, but it works the same. You got PM

New pictures, of it all clean! http://swatoffroad.com/images/mj/071807 I still have to clean the invis-da-ble film, but it looks really good now.
