  1. I just finished up on installing the 10" swayaways on the front end. The top mount is from T&J Performance and the lowers I grabbed out of a box of odds and ends from the speed shack and will be alright for now. (I'm gathering up the parts to build up a custom axle for the front over the winter) New lower shock mount: Shock installed: I'm planning on swapping out the budget lift and 3½" coils for the Deaver coils when the long arms go on!
  2. Got my stickers, business cards to hand out to potential members and the window banner!! Thanks Pete
  3. The bumper I designed myself and had my buddy weld it together and on the stock bumper since I don't feel to confident in my welding skills up to now. Its a temporary bumper since ill be designing one into the cage when installed. The skid I made up also, made the template out of cardboard went to the junk yard for some flat stock alumi cut it out and drilled some high speed holes in it. I have not installed it the way I plan with Dzus fasteners but its in my plans.
  4. here's a pic of the cowl before it was welded on the factory hood. and the hood welded up and painted (someof you may have seen this pic.
  5. Hey all, Ive been lurking in the background gathering some great info and a lot of help, information and parts wise (thx Wildman, oldjeep ) since acquiring my first MJ to my family of XJs. Ive owned XJs since purchasing my first one off of Ebag in 01 of witch I still own and wheel hard. (in pic) I loved the thing so much I started adding to my collection soon after. In the stable today are my 93 4dr at lifted XJ, 94 2dr 5sd stock(for now) XJ, 97 4dr 5sd stock XJ, and the 01 4dr AT limited. Having the XJs and the "initial" need of a budget p/u to get some yard work---(Excuse for buying another truck:)) done an MJ was a perfect fit. So anyway  onto today, With the yard work finished its time to play. With the MJ being a short bed 2wd with a 5 speed and my love for going fast on dirt this project is going to be by far my funnest and maybe ill even complete this one. I have been collecting parts for what was going to be going onto my 2dr XJ but I am now diverting it all or most to the MJ w/ some parts already plopped on it :brows: I was able to get some pics from a buddies camera to throw up since :needpics: Sorry no pics before the parts starting flying on :wrench: the lift was thrown in a few days after. RC 3½in coil with 3in spacers (for now have 5.5 in Deavers in the waiting) and re-arched rears. Plans for it are: Full Traction Long arm front susp with 5.5 Deaver coils, 10" Swayaway single Bypass shocks,(untill I can score some 14" C/Os) Deaver rear springs w/14" triple Bypasses. 20-32 gall Fuel cell, full 1.75 CoMo cage. 33x10.5 BFG Baja T/A tires, build the stroker for it and finish off the Hannaman glasswork.

    APN header

The APN exhaust header is a great upgrade to what we all know is an inferior stock design. With quality welds and stainless steel construction, and VERY close design to the 300+ dollar Borla header you can't go wrong. If installing on a post 98 the front header tube needs to be dimpled slightly for clearance of the intake runner. I have one sitting waiting for my stroker motor for my MJ and have installed it on my XJ and i am very pleased. There is a slightly deeper exhaust tone when installed which I kinda like. The folks at APN are great peeps and will take care of you on shipping to :Canadaflag: avg. 20-30. shipped.

Wow, nice clean truck! I'm digging those Rubi rims.
  11. So post the pics up. Otherwise you are just teasing us... :D I'm with you TNT. I'd be really interested in taking a peek. :brows:
  12. Congrats on the purchase and new project. I can't give you any ideas on the wiring issue but the pukegoat popping out of reverse tells me that someone had forced it into reverse and took some material off the reverse gear set. You can do an R&R (fairly easy task) on it and hopefully only need to replace the reverse set but if you can deal with holding it in reverse and babying backing up it until your engine swap, id suggest that.
  13. I'm guessing small block 360 :brows: . He mentions J heads so its a dead give away for a small block.
  14. I dig it but I would rip that ram head off the hood, throw a full traction LA kit, set of deavers front&rear, BFG Baja's, 32 gallon cell, bout 6 grand in shocks and bumps & finish off that cage then sign up for my Jeepspeed "Currie Cup" number but..... I would take it to the dragway for a few rips first :brows:
  15. Looks like OUTSTANDING body work and cool paint job to top it off.
  16. I thought I would post a pic om my manche as it sits now. I am building it up to meet SCORE and Jeepspeed Curry Cup specifications. I plan to post in MJ projects once things come together a little bit more but I have this shot so I figured Id put it in here for now. :chillin: Also i would like to say thanks for all the help Ive received so far from the peeps of CC.com
  17. Sounds like my goals for my MJ. Its well on the way.... Ill be posting soon in MJ Projects. Back to the subject, If the Jeepspeed guys race and run up front with them then they are proven enough for me
  18. My driveway is the same but of a different model  The MJ gets her own spot :brows:  cool plate BTW
