  1. it tells me it's over it's transfer limit...and that doesn't make sense seeing as i'm on DSL.
  2. i think there's one up there on a mj...but i'll check. you can't fit the 4.0 one on it? what's different i thought they were the same. can you alter them to fit? either way i will check for sure...maybe even as early as tomorrow seeing as i work near there and have a huge break in the middle of the day. the front driver's bracket on my cherokee buckets that i put in my mj is rusty as hell...it's missing a chunk that bolts to the floor. so i kinda need the one that i've got, i just haven't gotten around to putting it in. but on the other hand, i'll have 2 bench seats with good mounts on them coming soon. i'll let ya know A.S.A.P. and don't worry about money out of the pocket...i'm sure i will get it for free or cheap.
  3. the 97+ are the only ones with different latch systems. anything from 84 through 96 will work on your truck. even the hood as long as it's from a cherokee with the same engine as yours. get a door from a similar year if you have power options as you'll want that to be the same (they're not too different if at all but best be safe).
  4. shift solenoid.
  5. mine rub while turning, not at articulation...then again, it doesn't articulate too often as it doesn't go offroad...
  6. i remember seeing that thing...it pissed me off because when it was in there, it was NOTHING special. it's worse off than my beater truck i think.
  7. Rough Country lift, i'm damned impressed with it. it rides very nice...but I'd like to have it be 4" just for clearance. the 31x10.50's fit in there just fine with minimal rubbing, but I would like it to appear more open. also keep in mind that the back of yours might sit higher if it's a stock 4wd...mine was 2wd so my rear springs were lower.
  8. i already have a driver's side front bracket...i think i need it for my bucket seats that are in my truck now, but i'll check. I'm sure that either way i can get you one. I'll check on the alternator...i'll be goin back there next week (it's 50 min. away) so i'll let ya know
  9. that backspacing is as good as you're prolly gonna get...it means that 6 and 3/8" is on the other side of the center. well, more like 5 and 6/8" as the middle of the rim is probably around 5/8" thick. that's around what i'd like from those other rims you've got if i can get them backspacing wise :D basically, add that leaf back, and get a 1 to 2" spacer kit for the front and do get those tires...they're what you want and the spacer is cheap! don't pass up a deal man, but if you can get him to go cheaper, that's a plus...
  10. thought you already had a 4.5" rear spring set? those tires will fit i'm sure, just some minor trimming may be required. also they look like they have good backspacing...my rims are tucked in pretty close but hardly rub with the 31's. if they were 2 inches further out, i could fit 33's in with the same amount of minimal rubbing.
  11. haha, you just added me to facebook... anyways, on the topic. i think the answer would be no. 4" maybe. i'm running a 3" right now and i've got 31" tires...they barely fit and still rub. but then again, my truck was a 2wd when i started so the rear springs are lower than 4wd rears. all in all my truck sits pretty low for a 3" lift.
  12. kassidy, i feel safe to say that your truck is horridly slow, and I'm sorry you have to deal with that. i think my uncle's model T is faster...and that thing's hand start!
  13. melting the snow or ice would create...more ice. not to mention the amount of gas you'd burn to do it. gas is too expensive to be using it for that...
  14. the owner of the yard has history with my dad, they're good friends. i got the wrecked camaro from him for 350 and the deal was i got to keep anything i wanted but i just had to return the chassis to him...took the entire harness from it, subframes, t4 tranny, rear axle, power windows and locks, everything. i even sold some of the interior and the windshield and made back 175 bucks...he didn't care it was worth more for scrap that way. and i traded a JUNK grand cherokee (i payed 200 and kept the rims and OHC) to him for an 86 cherokee with a 2.8 so that i could swap to the matching buckets, a/c, and 3-row radiator. he cuts me great deals on things so if you're looking for anything, let me know...he only has 3 comanches in the yard and i've pretty much stripped them (one has a PERFECT floor pan but that's promised to my dad). he has a bunch of cherokees though, so alot of parts i can get yet.
  15. it IS for cruise control. and there are 2 different types of cable-driven cluster housings...the speedometers in them have different carriages and thus different brackets. just make sure you get the one that looks the same on the back, and you can swap anything you want in any way you want!
  16. haha, what ain't right? it always goes that i get something when i don't need it...never fails. and for a deal too!
  17. i know it won't connect to the engine harness...the guy got me the engine harness plugin piece, as the rest of the engine harness is shot. that's easy wiring as I have all the diagrams i could possibly need. yay for alldatapro.com! anyways, does the heaterbox look the same? or is it different? i am asking cause if i can get away without having to pay for that 1 more part... thanks!

    new parts

gonna wheel with that thing? :P that's actually a pretty crazy project...always wanted a bike.
  19. yea and i really don't even need them :P
  20. you swapped in full gauges i presume? first off, i'd like to say if you did so, but didn't swap the temp. and oil pressure sending unites, those respective gauges are most likely off. second, did the "snake thing" look like a spring with a little square piece on the end? that would be the actual cable...it goes inside the rubber housing thing and runs all the way down to the rear left side of the transmission. make sure you put that cable back where it belongs, then go underneath and unplug it from the tranny...to do that you need a 10 mm. ratchet, then you just unbolt the retainer clip from where the cable goes into the tranny, and pull the cable out. there's a plastic gear on the end just make sure that when you move it it works. check how the teeth look... what you're experiencing is either a broken speedo cable, bad teeth on the speedo gear, or the speedo gear isn't seated onto the south end of the cable. haha, or your speedometer is bad.
  21. today i finally got to the junkyard and picked up the aw4 tranny that I had purchased awhile back...$200 with 98000 miles (complete with 4wd shifter linkages, cut off cooling lines :P , half a front driveshaft  , some cut off wiring :( but at least I got the tranny and tcase for only $200, and a great torque converter) this is for my 4wd 2dr xj i'm fixing and then selling. then I saw that they had an ELIMINATOR sitting there. looked inside and was disapointed that the center console was gone, but the seats were still there! a little stained but not too bad, got them for $10 each!!! wow! haha, the brackets alone are worth a whole hella lot more than that... and i got a red tailgate that only has a real small amount of rust on the bottom edge...other than that it's like new. i don't really need it but i'm thinkin of using it on my trail rig since the one on the trail rig is rusted ON the truck...short of a torche i don't think i can get it off lol.
