we have yahoo DSL. I can get 2 wireless bars from it about 3000 feet from the house
-
yep
-
identical as long as you have a floor shifter as well.

I have no idea what you just said. Dad did it, and he's been at this for a good 30 years so I'm not gonna question his welding skills. I'm building a proper reinforcement plate that will bolt through the stock lower tracbar mount bolts, and then I will add points for it to bolt through to the frame with a proper tube welded in there to guide the bolts, and it will bolt straight through the stock trackbar mount. this new mount assembly will make the trackbar mount now have 6 bolts and a inside frame-rail reinforcement plate. I think that sounds like a good enough plan for the reinforcement plate.
-
I 100% agree. simple is better.
-
well, saturday I will finish making the reinforcement for the frame, and have dad weld it up properly. then I'll be relocating the K&N filter to the front left of the engine bay and building a custom intake box for it. :brows: sunday will be for the XJ...new thermostat gasket and housing along with a heater core flush. also gonna put the cargo cover and subs/amp in it and then wash it for the first time in 3 years
-
nope, I have no idea where I heard it now...

No Start. yes, another one...problem fixed

got it home with no issues...runs like a champ. well, that is...until you consider the leaky exhaust, and the barely audible knocking. that's not even to mention the clouds of black exhaust it left behind when I goosed it :brows: but for 250xxx miles she does pretty well. the driver's side door is basically falling off...it doesn't close properly. floors are gone, rear hatch doesn't open, headliner is sorta there...but basically gone. everything works though...cruise, a/c, power trans switch, pw, pl, lights, wipers. it all works. even has factory fog wiring. yep, she'll be a good one to part...there's a complete set of MJ power locks and windows to be had can't wait to put them in the 3800! -
*sigh. I really thank you guys for your prayers...I've called quite a few times and still no answer. I hope he's OK.
-
hey, I didn't include a direct link for just that reason. just thought you guys should know not to see it ;) and eagle...you should be glad that you have dialup.
-
I will be pulling my MJ motor which runs good and have all the rest of the parts it would need. I'm swapping in a complete '95 4.0 HO engine, trans and t-case into my MJ. speaking of which, Tim what would you want for that 4.0? the PO of that truck will be in need of a new motor (well, all sorts of seal replacement) and I figure throwing in a different motor that doesn't leak is easier.

What model Comanche do I have?
JeepcoMJ replied to eacomanche88's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
they would have been available with a factory tow package and full skids...but that's in an xj and it would have to be auto to have that package. best bet...you have an 88 eliminator with a 4wd conversion. -
lol...someone told me to google it and watch it (I think it was *ahem...correy...*ahem). I guess I couldn't resist...and now I wish I had. 2girls1cup.com then click on the top blue link

...I made it through about 7 seconds. half hour later...still not feeling so hot.

I don't think Joe's doing so well. on friday he was having respiratory issues due to his cystic fiberosis, and had to have his mother come get him and take him to the ER. I haven't heard from him since. he's not been feeling great for a few weeks and had to have an IV. I'm not a religious man, but I'm asking you all to just pray that he's OK. I hope I'm making this bigger than it is...but he's my friend and I want him to pull through and be OK and in tip-top shape a.s.a.p. so Joe, this is for you, I hope you're OK and you're in my thoughts man. good luck and get well soon!

2 girls 1 cup. at first it was like  :beerhead:  ...for about 1.5 seconds. downhill after that. now I wanna go :driving: myself off a cliff in my if you have a weak stomach, turn back now... I'm not going to post the link, because I don't think it should be on the site. google it if you feel you must know what the talk is about. :wall:

What model Comanche do I have?
JeepcoMJ replied to eacomanche88's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I don't believe that for one bit. you could order a base model comanche and tailor it to your needs. you can also swap a comanche to 4wd. I think it's one of those scenarios. it's definitely not a normal trim level or package, so it's something custom. and I doubt someone would take the time to do those things to it and then not tell the new owner/sell it to someone who's new to comanches. I know that I wouldn't sell the 3800 to anyone who's new to comanches. I'd sell it to someone on here though if I had to, and then I'd be up front about the fact that it's 2wd from factory, didn't have buckets, has had an interior/OHC swap, custom motor and wiring harness, yadayadayada. -
there were 11 made. one is in hawaii with a flatbed. one sold on ebay once, then was rebuilt with all new HO stuff, and sold on ebay again. if it was mint and white chances are it was that one. they were made not by Jeep, but by some custom outfit. bought a base-model chassis and completely rebuilt the rig as a dually. that's as much as I know

 I won't be doing anything special to this sucker...driving it home, and chopping it up. it's not worth saving, so I won't be replacing the fuel filter unless it's gonna sit for a few months (and still not with a new one) funny thing. the engine has 251,XXX miles on it, as does the tranny, t-case, and axles. it doesn't leak. period. not a drop leaked anywheres. it has even less oil sweat than any other 4.0 I've ever seen, other than my 89 pioneer I sold to TNT :brows: anywho, I got it going. thanks guys for the help, and FX, the plug idea really did the trick...cause it still wouldn't start after I drained the tank, when I put the new plugs it took a few turns but started right up.
