Got some nice funds coming in soon, and here is on the list of things... could use some input... thanks guys... I have a HPd44 front and 9" rear from a 79 ford (manual lockouts) Going to order: 4.88's spool front Would like an LSD in the rear, for street driving as well around town... AUSSIE?!?! DIsc brakes F/R (Need to know what needs to be done to braking system to function properly w/discs f/r and obviously bigger) Bumpers F/R, winch in front, reciever in rear Sliders Skids (ordering tomorrow) TNT Ylink LA Kit including: RE HD Adj Track bar, RE 7.5" Coils and JKS Quicker DIscos JKS ACOS Front/Rear Brake lines ALCAN 4" Leaf packs already ordered 1" Shackle Converting to 4wd, still need to find a ax-15 and np231, and obviously front driveshaft... What will I need to do to my rear DS at that point? And after those kinks worked out ( I know it sounds farfetched, but you will all see, I PROMISE plenty of PICS / WRITEUPS! :) ) I will be running a stroker from CHuck over at Titan Engines APN Header CObra 25 lb Injectors FUll exhaust Still researching intakes.... Overall, with this complete setup, do you think Ill be able to still drive it around town? Was only thinking LSD for the rear so it would drive well... will I regret this decision later??? Any input is appreciated! thx guys!! Btw.. 89 MJ... 4.0... SWB

that, has nothing to do with it. Once again, what caused it? STart simple. Have you been wheeling? If in mud check sensor on front panel of fan clutch. Next, check Pressure bottle up by firewall for any cracks whatsoever. Then all hoses. If that checks out, replace thermostat. If still warm, check fan clutch by using the "warm-motor-cardboard trick"... If still overheating... I'd recommend wiring elec fan to a switch, and having radiator AND block BACKFLUSHED at a shop, not jus the stuff you can do yourself. But up to the top of the list, make sure your rad is flowing, and has no damaged fins. Hope this helps.

comments say 36's or 37's... i was thinking more 5-6" lift and 33's?? sound about right?
-
Loss of power can be simply from the overheating, itself. First thing I'd check for is old cracked/worn hoses, your pressure bottle (if closed system), your radiator cap (if open system), thermostat, and flush motor. Start simple.

I'd say TPS. Try disconnecting it, starting the jeep, and reconnecting it. Fiddle with it, by disconnecting, and reconnecting, starting the jeep each time. My buddies 4.0 does hte same thing, a quick unplug n replug of the TPS, fixes it, obviously means it's bad, but helps you narrow it down. Good luck!! If it's idling right... personally... if it was in the fuel... I'd say filter. And I wouldnt necessarily jump to the Distributor n' all that, b/c they SHOULD affect IDLE as well if configured incorrectly.

lockers are factory on the PW, btw. Looks awesome! Are you beating the hell out of them? or supposed to do a grandma'style'test?

Its for fuel transport, specifically. Ill dig up the links I have. Will be a full pipeline running parallel to this road. And it WILL be open, but under special passes, based on what theyve said thus far. Mainly for non stop transport from mexico to canada.

What are you guys using? Who's? What do you recommend, and why? don't want to bob my bed since it's a SWB< so I'm thinking Ill definitely need some sliders, and rear QP Protection. Also, Was thinking of getting made/making a custom tailgate like this... How>? What are my options?

ACER. I got an ACER with XP , 2 GB ram (expandable to 4 gb), 1.66 GhZ Duo Proc, 120 GB HD, opted for the 14.1" screen, for $999... amazing machine... blows every new highly built desktop Ive used away, speed for speed. Caught it on sale from circuit city, 2 weeks later, black friday, it was 799...
-
I can beat that offer by $20!! I need one bad! lol
-
Spamming that thing AGAIN guys? lol
-
There are ALWAYS other ways to come up with $$. Selling a Jeep is typically the worst option and easiset way out. Sell something else. Get evicted. Get the Jeep.

If you're that concerned, use sea foam... I use Seafoam in all my vehicles, 1/3 bottle in tank, 1/3 thru a vac line, and 1/3 poured in crankcase. Can not say Ive EVER heard of, or seen posted, that anyone ever got a negative effect from seafoam. But if your motor is already on it's last leg.. I agree w/the above statements... leave it alone... maybe just switch to 10w40 or synth.

Actually, I think the carrier changes at 4.10 and up, I could be wrong.
-
I would prefer a 15" rim, and now that I see how it really sits, Ill be sticking with those!
-
Pete, that's exactly what I needed. Guess these "full widths" arent as wide as I figured. PERFECT :) Thanks!
-
Ah, which is probably why I see a lot of guys w/big running gear upgrade to 16.5" rims... gotcha!
-
Good deal man. Ive seen SOOO many guys just leave the oil to SOAK their air filter.
-
Thanks Brent, glad to be here. You don't know if they make Negative offset rims, do you? Pretty positive the axles I bought are full width, don't pysically have them at my house yet, so I was wondering if theres a way with negative offset rims to bring the tire closer to the body.
-
haha, my brother blow-by's a quart or so every other week. (and yes we've tried all the conventional blow-by fixes and stuff.) At least route it thru a catch can that way youre not starving your motor for oil filler air. :)

So you say that header's the best bang for the buck, huh? Notice a power difference over stock? How about sound? Tone? Btw, I love the quick transition from your first post, and your interest in modding your jeep now! Jeep on!
