i haven't checked yet but I'm still involved in moving my stuff from NJ to FL. Start the drive tonight. Getting the shocks from the store are just the plan.

I'm getting my shocks from the superlift scratch and dent store on ebay for $10 a shock. Check it out, they've got an "unsure what shock you need" setup which asks the vehicle and how much lift and tells you what shock of theirs you need. Don't remember if they've got the measurements tho http://scratch.superlift.com/ebay/image ... kapp_1.pdf

not started/not done yet including taxes for 2005. If they want my money bad enough they'll send me a letter asking nicely, at least I hope so :D

darn they ended it early, now where will I get my rusty piece of american history? Oh I got enough of that in the driveway on the manche

ripped off on ebay, ripped up by ups (dial-up beware!)

also call UPS and complain to them about the service and they'll refund it if you talk to the right people -
ok that's what I thought on the lights but wasn't sure so better safe than sorry. Any of the more likely parts that could have gone in the 3 month sit tho?

I am looking into getting an 87 cherokee. PO said it has a new battery and ran when parked 3 months ago. He went to start it and it had no spark. Its parked at the beach so I was wondering if sand might be the cause since it has a new battery. Any ideas oh comanche guru's? On a side note I picked up some cheapie lights to run as backup/tailgater lights but they only have 1 black pigtail and no wiring diagram with the packaging. Electrical troubleshooting is probably my weakest area so I figured I'd ask while I was here. Thanks in advance.

Water pump is one of the things I did to mine when I got it. 3 hours start to finish, just a little cramped in there. I don't want to have to do it again lol

welcome to the board, I'm in the same boat as you except mine is already 4x4. Enjoy the truck and the work ahead

make sure you find a reputable writeup which includes the tag *give the ax-15 once removed to razrwild* :D -
my friend has an 86 manche and it came with 3.52 gearing he told me. Don't know if that helps but just giving the info i have at hand.

what I did on mine was unscrew the brake line from the rear valve and screw it into the other line going to the rear splitter then I clipped and crushed the return line since my lines are mostly frozen in place.

do a search on here. I remember seeing a write up on how to bleed the system. Something about loosening the temp sensor from the block just enough for air to escape and having the truck idle while the back end is raised higher than the front.
-
that's the closed system isn't it? Could it be that there is air in the system? I'm asking these as questions since I don't have much experience with the closed systems and saw a thing about having to bleed air out of it. I'm going through the same thing now, figures as I'm going to rescue my gf out of a puddle my truck has problems lol.

$70 and $100 8.8's? ROAD TRIP!! hmmm only a 7 hour drive i may have to head up on a weekend or something.

appreciate all the information i'm getting from you guys on this. For now I might stick with the stock axles until I NEED to upgrade. 31's are fine for me to wheel with since I don't do anything too hard so that should mean the 35 can do for now. Later when I get money (story of my life) I'll look into axles so I can upgrade gears and everything in one shot.
-
yeah i sanded/sprayed the surface rust on it. Still gotta fix the fact that I can see the driveway through the floor when i move the mudflap. Big plans, big dreams, little wallet. What's the differences in the 91 and the 92+? Isn't the change a midyear change on 91's?

try edmunds.com or jeep-owners.com forum they might have a bunch

I think I'd have to beat someone's  if they did something like that to my truck. Is finding the right part number that hard that they'd half @$$ the oil change and guess the filter? Then again after pulling out a chiltons to show the retard at the counter that the truck did exist I'd have left. Apparently he is only killing time until its his turn to be elected president lol

One of my reasons for upgrading from the d35 is I want to lock the axle too and I like the idea of the rear disc brakes. If the d35 won't stand up too well I figure I could go with the 8.8. This is the reason I put up the topic, so many different viewpoints on the strength of the d35 I figured I'd ask since not everyone wheels the same or uses the same setup so the way it holds up. Thanks for all the input

most likely that ax swap will happen when the ba10 goes. give it 2 months lol. I'm going to hold out for the exploder with 4.10's and locker. Seem easy enough to do.
