I saw a thread or post on here a while back about the battery harness catching fire and it prompted me to check mine. I found it in VERY bad shape, but didn't realize how bad until I changed it today. This is the old harness... This is the new harness... :D It starts much quicker now too :chillin:

8) Cool... I love learning new stuff.
-
I'm betting that it is just something someone stuck on there. Probably got one made for a "Wrangler X".

 No good news unfortunately... I drove it and got it up to about 185-190, brought it home and parked it in the sun, covered the whole front end with a big trash bag and got it to start heating up. It went up to 230, but the fan never came on... :hmm: I did check to be sure that there was power coming to the switch...no problem. I crossed the spades with my test light and the fan comes on. Guess I will have to wire in a manual switch for now until I can do more research to find a switch that will work. I am not in a big hurry to wire in the manual one as it doesn't seem to even need the electric fan right now, but when the weather starts to heat up in a couple months, I'm sure it will be needed.

Special deal on upgraded fuel injectors for 4.0L

Hey Ya'll... This post (quoted) is from Wojtek...owner of the business so please feel free to ask him what you need to about the injectors. -
OK...I too was having trouble understanding what it was about. That's pretty cool 8) I [obviously] have never seen those before, so I can't offer any answers to the question though.

HMMM... didn't think of that. I have to go out and change the battery wiring harness first, but then I will take it for a short drive to get it warming up and come home to let it sit so I don't have to wait so long fo it to warm up. Temp is only in the 50's here so I'm sure the driving is a big hindrance to heating up ;) .

Great video Keith  The music choice is primo as well... Gotta love AC/DC

I don't think I would ever go that route, but that is a pretty cool job and nice clean work. I am always entrigued by sleepers 8)

How's the fan working? Got any start / stop temps using the TS195? Well...still no luck  . I can't get it hot enough. I drove it for over 30 miles yesterday, ran the AC for a while, but it still would not get over 190 ... :brows: I guess I will try letting it set in the driveway with the AC running and see if it will heat up better while just at idle.

$500 might be a good deal...then again...you could be getting a junk motor that you can't fix. Best case would be that it's a simple problem that will only cost you a few hundred or so to fix, but personally...I don't think I would take the risk without connections like I have. When I was thinking about buying my MJ, it had a bad tapping in the motor, but I know a very good engine guy that knows the 4.0L engines and had him check it out. The previous owner said that it needed to be rebuilt and hee didn't want to spend any more money on it. It turned out to be a $5 valve spring broken that cost me a total of $30 to fix after paying my friend for his time fixing it. If you have that type of hook up...MAYBE you should try it ;)

Yea...he is 24 and very responsible & trustworthy. ;)

Sorry for the delay, but our sons car broke down so we had to loan out our MJ for a while. They have had it since the day after i put that switch in so I have not been able to check it. I'll try this weekend as we just got it back and he now has a 1996 XJ that is showroom clean with only 59K on the ticker  :D .

He is trying to address some of these types of things as he learns more about the Jeeps and the needs of those of us doing such modifications. He has got all of the "stock replacement" stuff in line now, but things like this are going to take a little more time. We asked for 24lb Ford Motorsport injectors and he has now provided them. Let me direct this new info to him and see what he can do with that  . I believe he is going to register as a member on here when he has a chance so that some of this can be address first hand instead of third party too ;) . I'll keep doing all that I can until he gets caught up :D . I'm trying not to drive him crazy with too much stuff and make him sorry he met me and my Jeep crazed [Jeep] family... :brows: :beerhead: -

Using the "JEEP" discount code will now get a 10% discount instead of $10 as originally stated. That has been changed as the different types of injectors are selling for different prices so this is a way to do it fairly for everyone. -

OK...the 24lb injectors are up. He has created a whole Jeep page on his site now. You can go to www.precisionautoinjectors.com and navigate from there to the Jeep page. The 24lb injectors are here... http://precisionautoinjectors.com/produ ... oductId=11 The ad says 96 - 98 Grand Cherokee / Wagoneer, but I called him to confirm that they are the 24lb Ford Motorsport injectors. The newer versions (2000 - 2005) are coming soon. He is still in NY trying to help his father get caught up on rebuilding injectors as they have been very busy and getting behind. -

8) I figured it might get moved, but wasn't sure of the best place for it since we don't have a Vendors forum here ;) . Thanks Pete... -

He must have had problems. He is trying to do it while still in NY instead of from home in Orlando. ;) I'll let you know if I hear anything from him. -

I think he only wants the old ones back if they are the upgraded style, but I will ask him as soon as possible for sure. I already had the Ford injectors in the MJ, but they were used ones that I bought on eBay for $20 so he wanted them back, but I don't think he will want the Jeep injectors. I'll get back to you on that though. -

OK...sorry guys...I have been very busy lately with our Jeep T-Shirt/Hat business and have missed a couple posts here so let me get caught up. I talked to Wojtek today and he has had to go to NY for a week or so on family business, but he will be back in Orlando on Tuesday or Wednesday. He is trying to get the site set up with the 24lb injectors for the Stroker guys tonight, but no promises. He gives a full description of the process on his site. Click Here to see it.
