  1. Especially platinum plugs. Bosch Platinums are what you get from Chrysler if you order Mopar Performance spark plugs though. I have them in my '95 YJ and the same plugs have been there for over 5 years now. They are the Platinum +4's though, not the regular platinums if that makes a difference.
  2. On that type of line you do not need a tool. You can see the plasctic ears sticking out...just grab those, squeeze them and pull the line off. I know it is that simple because I have done it on my '88 3 times now ;) . It's only the newer style with the metal inner clips that require the disconnect tool. If you try to use that tool on the older type, it makes it harder to get off as you are trying to spread out the plastic clip when you should be sqeezing it  .
  3. Hey...BTW...off topic, but it seems there was a guy that went by the same screen name as you that used to post a lot on the J-O board. Not the same one by any chance are you?
  4. OK...I am going to find a way to check mine now, but it will be a couple days before I have a chance.
  5. MMMMM... Peanut Butter Fudge Hey...click on the "Fudge" page. The first word in the description should be "If", but it's only the " I " ;) ... Just a friendly poke about the spelling thing :D .
  6. How did you come to that conclusion? I don't know that there is a way to calibrate them, but I was going to check mine by boiling a pan of water and checking the temp of the water because we know the boiling point of water is 212 degrees ;) .
  7. I have had several people talk about them, but have no experience with them yet. Everybody says that they are good.
  8. Champion is the recommended plug from OEM. Bosch is the chosen performance upgrade from OEM. NGK is an acceptable upgrade that will work fine and was actually OE in some later model 4.0L engines. Most others will cause you problems ;) .
  9. Agreed...I am not worried with it. ;)
  10. You can replace the center pin with something like that, but that one in your pic is pretty big so I'm not sure it will fit. You need to check and be sure it will go through the springs and that the head will fit in the perch properly. As far as the plastic pads...I don't know where you could get those as they always fall out and I have never even tried to replace them. Never noticed them making any difference on anything anyway.
  11. Yea, that is what I was attributing the difference in mine to as well. Seems that the guage is working properly to me in my truck.
  12. I actually had a sisiter to that car "back in the day". It was a 1979 Dodge Omni 024 ... :D
  13. Yea...it's possible, but I don't think it will have any major effect. The newer vehicles will pop the check engine light if the gas cap leaks just a little bit on todays vehicles, but our trucks do not have that type of monitoring system.
  14. HF sometimes sells those heart rate monitors that you strap on your arm too ;) .
  15. On later model vehicles it could have some effect, but minimal as it is part of the evaporative system and holds vacuum. I don't believe it would have any effect on our trucks though.
  16. So far...it's great. I have used it on everything including the rabbit that we have running around the house :D . It's a blast...provides hours of pure entertainment :clapping: :rotfl2:
  17. That's not bad, but for only about $8 more you can have a set of Ford Motorsport Design II injectors through Precision ;) .
  18. It was $39.99 on sale at HF :D The same one is on eBay for $37 ... + $16 shipping
  19. ...Thermometer that is... ;) Got this one at Harbor Freight. I wanted to check the engine temp on the MJ and see if the gauge was reading true. After driving it for about 15 miles, the guage was reading about 195/200. The block temp was between 206 & 215 depending on exatly where I pointed it, but it read 207 right on the head at the guage temp sender. The temp at the t-stat housing right on the fan temp switch was 178.
  20. Thats cool. Just wanted to be sure you had the info 8)
  21. That was going to be my suggestion for you ;) . The site is Precision Auto Injectors, and be sure to use "JEEP" as a discount code for a 10% discount at checkout
  22. Well...mine was simple...when I removed it, it fell apart in pieces in my hand. If you have a multi-meter, you can test it for continuity. The thing with a resistor is, if it is bad the motor will typically run on one speed only (usually high), not just stop all together so you may be right about the motor if it is not working at all. You can also do a simple test on the motor to see if it is really bad by running a direct hot wire to it from the battery and see if it runs.
  23. That is the number for the one for the 20 gallon 86-89 XJ tank. 86-89 MJ 18 or 23 gallon, 6 or 7 foot bed is a 83504485...BUT...as everyone here already knows, you can't find them anywhere
  24. Be sure to check the blower resistor before spending the money on a motor. My motor quit a while back, but it was just the simple $5 resistor that is mounted in the housing inside on the passenger side. ;)
  25. Pretty cool 8) I'm beating the estimate by a little bit :brows:
