    Wildman????

Anyone know if Wildman is OK??? Last time he made a post was 12/29 and last PM from him was 12/28:hmm: Sent a PM and hes has not opened it, not like him to be away this long????
  2. Thanks. I didn't know that. Do they have consumer trucks in addition to commercial? Yes, they are called Ram and Dakota :rotfl2: Sorry just had to say that :D Hope it works out, I do like the Linea Diesel they sale :brows: And if they would come back out with a X-1/9
  3. Only problem is everyone will think of the Fiat's of the 70's and 80's. Sure hope things would be better then back then. No matter I was about 10 min away from driving off with a new X 1/9 :D and wish I had did over the MG I did buy
  4. Well. 1st French 2nd German 3rd Italian You have to ask who is next :rotfl2:
  5. Will have to say I did not see this one coming. http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/ ... 6Y20090120
  6. His rig is much better then most in the area  and I have never had problems driving things worse  It has never been an issue even with the Ashville PD and South Bloomfield PD which are big time speed traps and have traffic cops parked at the school morning and afternoons 8)
  7. Bad thing is now he has to keep a low profile for a while  The muffler system is new, has not even got any rust on it yet. We checked over things and he is just going to have to stay off the main roads.
  8. Speaking from experience, tires sticking out that far do throw up quite the rooster tail of water. They do throw up rooster tail  but she was going on about how they would hydroplane and it was fine to use in the fields but not drive on the roads
  9. That is what I told him :D She even followed him for 8 miles more till he turned off at AutoZone
  10. The truck has been on the road for over a year with no problems driving the same road. Think she had a problem with the truck in general  she gave him a lecture on how unsafe it was for other cars with the wide tires, how unsafe the wide tires are driving in rain / wet roads
  11. Well at noon today, my son Charlie got pulled over by a OSP trooper while driving down US-23 in the MJ. She gave him a waring for the following items: 1. Loud exhaust - not as loud as all the tuners or open exhaust diesel but she thought it had a hole in it  2. E-brake - handle was broke and stuck so it would not set. When was the last time I set the e-brake in someting with an auto trans :fs1: 3. Fender flares - The tires are about 3" out past the fenders. Will not go into the lecture she gave him on how she would put smaller tires on it if it were her truck :smart: Well at least she did not write him up on bumper height :shake: I drive US-23 everyday to and from work and see a lot worse vehicles then his MJ everyday :hmm: , and he has never had problems in South Bloomfield on 23 which is a speed trap :wall: so figure she was having a bad day :ack: but if you are driving down US-23 look for this MJ being pulled over by the OSP :grrrr:
  12. Redneck in this area is used to offend, but have always been proud to be a redneck :D :USAflag:
  13. I know what the trem coon had been used for around here  but just figured it met something different in another part of the county so it did not bother me. Know it may not be the most PC statment in other parts of the county  but also know that american natives take great offence to the "miss use" of of american native names as used in schools, ball teams, mascots and JEEPS

    Friggin cold

Thought they said it was going to warm up today  Cold water line to the kitchen froze up over night but knew that was going to happen :wall: checked last night and the temp in the end of the basement where the kitchen is was at 35* around 10pm  So much for having the basement at walkout level :ack: Everything started but just could not get the garage to heat right :hmm: so short day working YJ
  16. I would buy it, but do not like the color :rotf:
  17. Notice that they have all low profile autos on the lift, with a high profile vehicle like a truck or van in an 8’ garage you can get it high enough to work on the wheels but to roll in under it you have to be very short or you have to stay hunched over all the time. But not bad to work under if you don’t mind being on your knees. Lifting capacity is very low, they rate the capacity by cylinder size but do not take into account the leverage that is applied by a large/ long heavy vehicle. Also they could use larger bolts to hold it to the floor  My 10,000# lift has to work very hard to lift an 8,000# extended cab 2500 pickup and it has a lot more bolts that are 2x the size that they used. I was going to get the 8,000# lift when I got mine but switched to the 10,000#. And after using it I wish I had went with the 12,000# for all different vehicles use it for :wall:
  18. For now about as bone stock as it can be, 2.5 with 5 speed. May keep the 30" tires on it but most everything else will stay stock, for now :brows: He has the MJ for wheeling, the YJ will be what he takes to school next Aug. :chillin: Now after he gets out of school and starts making the big $$$ and gets his truck and trailer to haul the MJ and YJ to the bad lands. Who knows what it will get :brows:
  19. Everything that gets worked on in the garage gets a comanche club magnet :D Took a while for my daughter to remove it off her Cavalier  We do have to place a more permanent Comanche Club sticker on it when we finish :D
  20. Renault wants Jeep but not Chrysler / Dodge, Chrysler cannot sale off just Jeep as no one would want only the Chrysler / Dodge end of things :( And with Renault sales going down and that they starting to lay off workers, it would be hard to take on a dog like Chrysler. With just talk of Renault talking to Chrysler yesterday Renault stock went down 7% Now in a year or two things could change a lot.
  21. Yes, get as much as you can. I built a 26x26 and it's good, but we have to store parts in the barn and just use the garage to work in. ALso if you ever want a lift, plan now!!!! We had to reengineer the garage with a cathedral ceiling over the lift bay to use the lift. And even at that we have to remove the cap off my truck to use it and have to watch vans close. My next garage would be 26x38 with a 2 story ceiling over the lift bay  Then the 2nd floor over the rest of the garage would be parts storage / office / Jeep Lounge
  22. I would have liked to got the Overland badge My Grandfather took his horse and buggy and got a new Overland Touring car in 1918  Somewhere I have a photo of my father on the fender of the car the day he got it home, and the badge on the car looks just like the one off the WJ

  24. I like it  Will I like it better then other colors it could be like Sea Foam Green that they put in S-10 in the 90's  Or the Green my 96 Ram was painted in :wall:
  25. Did you get anything else on the way back :D
