IS that an MG I see :D
-
Here is an old photo of my love. Had to sale it about 2 yrs ago and give up bikes for a while :( But if health problems change, after the past two days not sure if they will, this is what I hope to replace it with very soon
-
Wish the Red one was near Ohio. My daughter is starting to look for a Libby or XJ after the past few weeks
-
This $50 2 wheel drive MJ: Now looks like this after a lot of XJ parts and just shopping on here and a couple other sites.

Thanks, What I thought  now he can have his D35 and we can get a 8.8 and have some $$$ in our pocket :D
-
Would a 4.10 and 4.11 axle be close enough not be a problem?? A friend had his D35 blow out  so we our going to sale him the D-35 out from under our YJ and replace with a 8.8

The wife had a 5 speed 26 years ago but went down hill  and NO the alternative is making my life a living he!! As for daughter, she has trouble with the auto stick after all this time  so I just have to give all hope up on her

The one we have at work (well, when I was working) would get an honest 24 to 26 average city highway. And it had 3:73's. They come with 3:55's as well. I bet that with the 3:55's you could see 28 easy. With the 3:73's it was turning about 2300 RPM at 70 MPH. The torque is rated at almost 400 lb/ft at 1800 rpm. I think. No need for the 3:73's. They came with the towing package. Thanks, Something to think about

OK, 4 1/2 years old :D Yes, have looked at some of the WK's :thumbsup:but the wife only wants a local vehicle :wall: CRDs did not start shipping untill February of 2005 in the US. Thats barely 4 years old now, at the oldest. We can toss the build date around :D but it's an 05 which makes it a 4 1/2yr old model, but then you have the new 2010 Mercedes GLK-350 and 2010 FORD Fusion, Mustang out which makes it a 5yr old model vehicle

Me thinks I would need a second job to pay for all the new clutch parts I would need :D After 26 yrs I have given up on the one, and the other one cannot walk and chew gum at the same time

You have no ideal how many times I have thought about swaping the engine and trans out for a 4.0 and AW4 in the ZJ we have :D Like I said in another post. It looks like the day it drove off the lot, except for all the white salt on the black pant today :shake: And out of all the vehicles we have owned in the past 30 yrs the ZJ is the one vehicle we both love, Maybe we may just look for little newer ZJ with a 4.0  Thanks guys, you have for the most part talked me out of a new vehicle  Well I do want to replace my truck  but only to get an auto in it so my wife and daughter can drive it when they need to  To bad Ford did not make it as easy to switch from a 5 speed to auto as you can in a Jeep
-
Anyone have a WK CRD? If so what do you get in real word MPG???
-
Thanks, Like the Green one in Ohio  Sure it will be gone when we start looking in March
-
Thanks, I know the Libby is more vehicle  That is why we have 3 Jeeps parked in the drive :D , but a benchmark of 25 mpg is what we want. I know gas is back down to $1.95 but at some point it's going to go back up :ack: and with a 60 mile round trip to work 20 vs 25 mpg starts to make a big difference when you start to fill up the tank. And with the talk of pay cuts, I am sure the gas will go back up faster then my pay

CRD's are not big in this area, and when one comes around it brings top $$$ and goes fast. Last crd I seen in the area was 5yrs old and going for $12,300 and had around 120,000 miles on it. New 09 CRV can be had for 22,800. Have looked at some on line, but the last time I flew to FL and got a car we had a lot of problems with it, so that is out ;)

And in the rust-belt no less. :D It's been in the family since new. And it has the 3.3L, which apparently is a god-send. I've heard some great odo stories from people with the 3.3. Not-so-much from people with the 3.8. :dunno: This engine is doing so well that I would not hesitate to swap it over to a new van and keep on going (should rust or an accident steal my baby from me). Our 89 was good in snow, put 130,000+ on it  . But with the drifts and hills in our area it just needs more if you get stopped on a hill. If we were in flat county and did not have drifting problems we would go with the van :D She drove the van for 10yrs, and after we got her a 4x4 and did not get stuck on a hill anymore, she will not go back :D This is the wifes vehicle, we have not used ZJ to tow with yet, that is what my pickup is for :D So just needs something to get around in

Yes, we have done the math and MPG is not the only item in the mix. Even though the ZJ looks as good as the day it drove off the show room it's a 95 that is getting close to 190,000 miles. We replaced the POS trans that Chrysler put in the V8's last year and I got this bad feeling that this trans will need replaced with-in the next year along with some other items:doh: Kind of hard to put in a new / rebuilt trans that will cost more then that the KBB is one it :dunno: and cannot keep putting in a used trans at $600 every year not knowing how long it will last. Yes, we had a Dodge minivan  but with where we live you need a 4x4 to get around in the winter as they do not do much to the roads :wall: and this year is even worse :huh???: I should have kept the plow for the MJ and started plowing the roads in my area as the county no longer doing road clearing :grrrr:
-
That is BAD  We get 16.8 in the ZJ with the 318 and out on the highway we have got up to 21mpg :D Looks like we will keep the ZJ for a couple more years or I will have to give in on the Honda as I cannot give her any real reasion why we should not buy it :dunno: Anyone know what the Ford Escape makes :hmm:
-
Anyone got a Libby with the V6?? If so what MPG do you get. I know what the Diesel gets, but would like to know about the v6 as you can find more of them in our area. We are starting to think about a replacement for the ZJ and want something better then 16.8mpg :ack: The wife was in a Honda CR-V over the weekend and liked it, but is willing to look at a Libby. The Honda is doing 25-26mpg so I need to be at that or better :dunno:

OK, I got the info on the filters :smart: All NAPA filters are wix filters, but the NAPA Gold is the true WIX filter :huh???: the other filters are wix, but made cheep to cut cost like using nitrile rubber valve over the silicon rubber valves to cut cost :ack: So go NAPA Gold for the WIX edge :D
-
I had been told the NAPA NASCAR line was wix??
-
Has NAPA changed filter makers??? I just priced WIX filters at O'Reilly's vs the NAPA filters I have been buying and the NAPA filters are about $2 less then the wix filters :hmm: I find it hard the NAPA is passing THAT much of a savings on to me  I cannot ask the NAPA guys as they moonlite from the Auto Zone next door and just give me that look when you ask who makes the filters  As it has NAPA on the box, they make it in the big NAPA factory with all the other NAPA parts :wall:
