  1. Here's another in MD http://westmd.craigslist.org/cto/4468708266.html
  2. Saw this on CL in Westminster MD. http://frederick.craigslist.org/cto/4440868610.html
  3. I order the carpet. The color is perfect. I got the thick rubber backing. HOWEVER, you will need to cut to fit to size and for the opennings for the shifters and seat bolts.
  4. Now that winter is through and temps are rising, does it happen when you are sitting and idling or doing a lot of stop and go? The colling fan may be bad. Test it by making a jumper to the battery. Also, check the coolling fan relay on the drivers side, in front of washer fluid bottle. (Search youtube for how to test a relay.) Or, check the radiator temp control switch http://www.partstrain.com/store/??N=0&Nr=AND%28universal%3A0%29&PN=0+6004&VN=4294967148+4294962346+4294962302+4294963082+4294966684&domain=partstrain.com&Nr=AND(universal:0)
  5. I purchased my carpet from www.stockinteriors.com They had the exact color, except not faded.
  6. Wally Worlds near me don't even stock filter sizes for the renix era. I go to PepBoys for them.
  7. The TCU and C10 do not run through the brake/cruise switch. It runs through a separate switch on the brake pedal - C260. Look for a connect in a cross or x shape on the brake pedal. The is the override for the trans convert. Here's a link for the 88 Electric FSM. I found that most of the wiring is the same as 87, but radio is diff as well as some other item. http://comancheclub.com/topic/12083-electrical-manual/ DOWNLOAD IT! SAVE IT!
  8. Wally World does not carry the Renix oil filters. Their parts don't go back that far.
  9. Attached is the FSM for the cruise/brake wiring. From the wiring diagram, I don't see the cruise running to the TCU. From your picture above, it looks like you have the dual cruise brake switch. You can jump the two brown plugs together, since the switch controls both sets of wires.
  10. Let me step in. I have the 87 Electrical FSM. The connector with the Pink and Lt Blue w/ tr is the C249 connector. It plugs into the brake switch. Pink is hot. Lt Blu w/ tr feeds the brake lights. The other connector is the C250. It to plugs into the brake switch and powers the cruise control. The dark blue w/tr is hot to the in-line cruise control fuse then to the cruise control on the turn signal/wiper lever. The pink wire feeds to the C251 connector that feeds into the cruise control module. A brake switch with cruise control will have two sets of pins for the C249 and C250 to plug into. Since you have an auto, does the pink from the C250 match up to the third plug you have? That may be a C252 connector. That jumps from the brake switch to the cruise control module.
  11. Thanks. Did not get to it today. Doing the "Honey Do" list. I will pull it off and inspect. Then Permatex #2. (I will have to visit the Boys [Pep Boys])
  12. This is not a MJ issue. It is for my 84 CJ7, 4.2. I bought it last Sept. I have noticed the tell-tail signs of a Jeep marking its territory. Following the advice on CC.com, I did not want to go to the RMS right away. I was working on it while it was running. I looked for where it was leaking and found it was coming from the oil pressure sending unit. The FSM doesn't have any info on it. At least, I did find anything. Is there an O ring where it threads into the block? Is it silcon taped? Part numbers? Thanks in advance.
  13. I do not believe the MJ ever came with the 4 piece. The only place to find a 3 pc. is off another MJ (May it Rest In Pieces.) There are aftermarket 4 pc available from TeamCherokee. (Search for complaints about TC before making purchases.) There was a thread on CC about the topic. IIRC, the Ford Ranger from the same time period as the MJ may fit. BUT the MJ rear is arched whereas the Ranger is straight. (Edit)
  14. Yes, it was sprayed on. I did not do it.
  15. I got mine rhinolined. The shop took it down to the lower crease. I think it looks good.
  16. Clogged Cat? I had one crumbling inside. The pieces blocked the flow of exhaust. When the truck stopped, the pieces fell out of the way and it would run fine...until the pieces shifted. My 2ยข.
  17. I purchased from Z&M http://stores.zmjeeps.com/ I did not do the body work, but the shop that did the work did not say anything bad. I also purchased a bed side panel from them. They're in OH, USA. I don't know the shipping cost to the Great White North.
  18. 1. I believe the cable is universal. However, there may be a diff with the HO vs. Renix. That's 91+ Jeeps. 2. The external slaves started in 94. So you should look for 94+ AX15/bells. 3. AFAIK the AX15 was alway 23 while the BA10 was 21. 4. Don't know. Sorry.
  19. Ok, I finally did it. That was too easy. Two questions: Why didn't I do this sooner? Why did AMC make it this way?
  20. The 3rd and 4th digits don't match the '89 VIN sequence. Based on the VIN you listed, you have a 1990 base model, 2wd, with a 2.5 4 cyl. It must have been an early production unit. The 10th digit, "K", is a 1989 production year. The 6th position, "2," is the base model. A "3" would indicate Pioneer. Source: www.vehicleidentificationnumber.com
  21. My BA10 has never left me stranded.,,,the internal slave, however. After 27 yrs, 270,000 mile and the 5th slave cylinder, I have an AX15 ready and waiting.
  22. Whatever I have in kegs in my 'fridge. I brew my own beer. As for hunting, sorry to say, I've never done that. I could pull the trigger, but I don't know what to do next.

    Super Bowl

Does the NFL have a "mercy" rule? When will they put us out of our misery?
  24. I believe you would need to get the short cable that goes from the cluster to the speed scensor. Or just order a cable with out cruise. Rock Auto listed a few.
  25. Just a silly question regarding the blower: had you taken out your radio recently? If so, check it to make sure you did not push the power supply connector off. You may have slid it back a little so is was still contacting at first but the shaking of the truck knocked it off. Voice of experiance
