Hey guys, I'm getting close to registering my MJ and had a question regarding the title and Florida. I was wondering if anyone has had to deal with registering a vehicle that the seller never registered and the title is in the person they bought it from names still? I guess it would be considered a jump title? I am going to call the DMV Monday but I was curious to see if anyone has any experience with this? On the title is says the last time it was registered was 2008 and the guy I bought my MJ from had it for roughly 6 months and never registered it. The lady who owned it before him signed the title and her name is there, not the guy I bought it from. Just trying to get my bearings straight and get some input on this. Thanks everyone! RockMJ

Yeah I hear you on the half finished projects. I'm hoping to tackle the interior this weekend and start cleaning things up for paint. I'm looking forward to seeing either of ours finished but either way I plan on doing a write up about it. I know ive said it before, but yours came out great and I hope mine looks half as good! Introduction and a few quick questions!
RockMJ replied to RockMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Very true lol. I'm over by Tampa, FL. And here is a picture for you guys! Nothing special right now but its super clean on the outside and its a great platform Ill be starting a build thread shortly. Much like all the other Jeeps before this one, its going to get some very nice stuff done to it :D RockMJ -
Hows the tailgate on it? I was actually planning on heading there this weekend! RockMJ

Interior B-Pillar Courtesy Lights
RockMJ replied to RockMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
yeah, they have countless different types of LED bulbs out there. I just wasnt sure if the bulbs themselves were of a common type. Any auto parts store should have a little section for LED's in their lighting department RockMJ -
Gotcha. I am looking for one for mine right now. I can probably un-mangle the tailgate that I have but I would probably be better off trying to find a replacement. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out for you RockMJ

Hows the lighting from them? Any idea if you could replace the bulb with an LED unit? RockMJ -

Sorry about the late reply but yes I got my first MJ! An 88 2WD LB with the 4.0/BA-10/35 combo. Its in excellent shape body wise but it needs an interior makeover. I am located in FL and that reminds me, I have to update my location lol. Thanks! RockMJ -
Looks great man. Easily one of my favorite builds on here. Anything special going on with the tailgate? Ill be following the build RockMJ

97+ Front Grill Assembly Picture Request
RockMJ replied to RockMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks a ton. I am probably going to be swapping the fenders as well and repainting the Jeep either the Platinum 5.9 ZJ color (miss my old one) or the 2006 GTO Brazen Orange. I'm still in the planning stages but if everything mated up nicely I would consider leaving the fenders I have. If anyone has any close up pictures of the gaps from the sides and front I would really appreciate it before I dive into this myself RockMJ -

I'm sure that has been done by members on here but any good write-ups to review and get me started? I am also planning some lighting upgrades (Delta lenses, HID's, etc) RockMJ -

They look to be a great upgrade. I should be ordering up a set in the next few weeks. Got other fish to fry first :D RockMJ -
Yeah for sure man and thanks for the info! Anyone down for making a junkyard run soon? I a few months ago started talking to a group of guys in Tampa, HCJ to be exact but nobody is really local to where I live. I am over in New Port Richey and would be glad to have some wrenching buddies to hang with. If anyone is planning a run to the yard let me know, ill be more than glad to go RockMJ

97+ Front Grill Assembly Picture Request

Thats what I'm looking for. Do you have a close up front shot and any other angle you feel like sharing? RockMJ -
Hey Rich, I won't be making the event for sure. I am still in the building process of mine but if anyone is bored and would like to lend a hand lol. Any of you guys know of any good salvage yards around here? I am looking for bucket seats for the MJ and a few other parts RockMJ
-
Hey guys! It would be great to meet some of you and finally have some wrenching buddies down here! My MJ isnt on the road yet, I'm currently putting it together but all in all its in great shape. This is the 14th Jeep ive owned and ive always wanted one but the winters up in PA always destroyed these so I never got my hands on one. We should plan an MJ specific group meet and greet. That would be awesome! RockMJ

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone on here has any close up pictures of just a swapped on 97+ front grill assembly minus the hood and fenders. I am looking to replace my beat up front clip and I just would like to see how this looks before I consider doing it without the fenders. My paint is in good overall shape as its been repainted and I'm just looking to update the look. I also wanted to clarify that I will need the 97+ front headlight wiring harness as well? Anything else I should source from the salvage yard? Thanks in advance for the photos! RockMJ

Awesome work! I am planning something similar with my MJ but I had a few questions. Mainly, how did you go about attaching the overhead console to the foam/backing board? Any specific pointers you would give for someone who has never worked with fiberglass or undertook a process like this? Thanks a ton! RockMJ
