  1. I've only heard really, really bad things about rusty's suspension components. So generally I stay away. Not a coil spring, not my rig either. I remeber seeing way more carnage pictures like that and most of the guys were saying it was happening when they were off of the trail. (I know this pic looks like he is actually on the trail...)
  2. If it's not too personal... how much did ya pay? How much would u pay for that rarity? I'm interested in picking one up. I'll call that yard tomorrow and see how much they run.
  3. Well at this place they pull everything for you... Which is a double edged sword in my opinion. However they want $300 for a pair of XJ seats, and that's without the brakets!  Maybe when i'm older and hopefully richer i'll go by this place...
  4. I'll be heading down to this place this thursday, is there anything I should be looking out for? Here's my list thus far: -Coolant Resovoir bottles (if the price is right) -Seats (2 door XJ and MJ buckets hopefully!) -Misc. interior pieces for my truck -E brake Cables (i've heard YJ cables are longer...?)
  5. So it's been awhile since my last update, but now that all the snow has melted I can finally work on the Jeep! Started by ripping out the old A/C (it's completley fubar). Now there's tons of room inside the engine compartment :brows: : Then I decided to finally clean up all the accessory wiring i've accumulated over the years. I routed all the wires together inside a protective loom and they now run infront of the radiator, completley out of the way  : I used this marine terminal block to power all the accessories. So now they all aren't stuffed on the end of the battery terminal... : I'm working on getting some XJ seats with a cool center console and some sliders built so I can really take 'er out!
  6. sign me up!
  7. Anyone in/near sac town know about this yard? My body was sure it existed but didn't have a name or phone number...
  8. The metal sleeve will push out of the rubber bushing you just need alot of elbow grease. Having a vice mounted to a solid table will definetly help, and I usually use a big C clamp, large deep socket, and something to push the bushing out (old bolt works well) just to get it started, then finish with a hammer and punch. Cover the whole thing with wd40 before starting
  9. Points taken, thanks guys. I needed alittle more advice than my roommates (who are completley stoked on it) I'll keep ya'll updated on this potential vehicle
  10. So it's been awhile since i lasted posted, and it feels good to be back. Anyway, a friend of mine offered me her jeep for really cheap (only 400 bucks!). It's a 88-89 4x4 I6 5-speed XJ with a factory sunroof! It needs a new exhaust (i happen to have a spare system off another cherokee..) But has brand new tires. Engine runs well but has over 200,000 miles. :brows: I wouldn't be able to pay insurance/registration for both trucks, so my MJ would be the dedicated offroad toy. What do ya'll think? I really could use a more practical daily driver. I would only worry that the truck might take a dump on me in about a year and i'd be in the same position i'm in now.
  11. anyone?

  13. Anyone have any diagrams and/or suggestions? My truck is missing all of the brake wiring (don't ask me about it...) I need to get it done soon cause I'm in alittle hot water with the local fuzz about it  Thanks in advance.
  14. Any plans on producing more cages to sell? or sliders...? :brows: BTW, looks great!
  15. how much shipped to 96158? :brows:
  16. How can you tell if it's fried? Where's the cheapest place to get a new one? is it worth it "upgrading" to say a rancho or OME?
  17. my new ride  (Nitro 156 T1 Color Series :brows: )
