  1. I suppose it could work. I tried it myself and I just ended up slightly bending it where the end is instead of keeping that part straight (if you can see by the picture). The tube bender I have won't work, got any tricks?
  2. Well, that's what I will do, I just don't want pressure pushing on those lines from the bottle, or the rubbing that will inevitably occur. :dunno:
  3. Of my problem area? Sure. Wasn't a great job to begin with, I believe the line closest to the booster was the original one and we just expanded on it as it already had a nice bend around the M/C. But that is the best we could do with the front one, and even then looking back on it, it still seems iffy to me. I was hoping that maybe a 90 degree fitting or even something flexible would be worth it so I can just place the reservoir back where it was.
  4. Actually, just looking at some 90 degree fittings. That would seem to get the job done, yes? Not sure where to buy or if I can even find the right sizes.
  5. Since I can no longer fit my washer fluid reservoir next to my brake booster/master cylinder since I upgraded to the bigger dual diaphragm, I was thinking about running two lines from the master cylinder into the XJ prop. valve. Any suggestions? Also, does anyone happen to know the sizes needed?
  6. Lucky... :( You got one of them on eBay? Damn, how did I miss it!
  7. I want that cluster with the tach so bad! can't find any, only with the newer style that doesn't really match
  8. I'm not THAT attached to mine... It's definitely fun and cool to drive around, but I don't do wheeling nor really have the money to put into it... :(
  9. I just had some guy contact me about trading my '88 Comanche for his '94 ZJ 5.2 Limited... Hopefully it isn't too good to be true...
  10. Hmpf. Any other cars/trucks I should try? I guess its really a matter of getting the dimensions that I can possibly fit and just heading to a junk yard...
  11. Well because the brake lines coming from the M/C are on the drivers side instead of the passengers side, in order for me to bend them back around I had to waste valuable space because I can't get good bends at such an angle. Nor did I use a WJ booster, but an 95 XJ booster. I think they differ.
  12. Exactly as the subject is, can anyone get me the dimensions of this bottle? Did the booster upgrade and don't really feel like bothering to put the 97+ windshield bottle in the fender, just looking for something to fit right in the now-smaller spot where the old was.
  13. Are you having problems now? "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
  14. Some references. I haven't done the swap myself, I don't really see a need to considering my truck doesn't get to the normal operating temperature as it is... http://www.olypen.com/craigh/rad.htm http://www.madxj.com/ <-- check on here too, in the technical files there is a write up on it.

  17. I feel like the Dakotas progressively got worse visually over time... The very first models looked nice, now they just look plain ugly to me..
  18. Sorry to hijack, but will that actually work? For some reason I remember reading that it wouldn't work for years prior to '90 I think it was... http://www.madxj.com/MADXJ/technical/te ... eCover.htm
  19. Right, that's what I've been using but nothing within a hundred mile radius for a reasonable amount of $$...
  20. Well, obviously I know this isn't a Ford forum, but before I go ahead and join another one I figured I'd ask you guys... So, the deal is I have a 1994 Mustang GT with the 5.0L and AODE transmission. Recently, it stopped going into forward and now only goes into reverse. Now my options seem to me are to: 1) Send it off to be rebuilt (probably will cost $$$) 2) Find a junkyard one -Only problem is there isn't a tranny behind a 5.0 at any yard near me, so I was thinking about hooking up one behind the 3.8L instead (not sure about if it will last) 3) Or my third option after doing some research was to find a 4R70W tranny from either a F150 or any other Ford car/truck that was sitting behind a 5.0 Obviously, if possible, I'd like to do the third option, but still unsure whether electronically it will work or if it will even hookup (I'm assuming yes since it is the same engine) Any thoughts?

  23. Well, according to many others I've seen on here, basically you could order whatever you wanted on your Comanche from the dealer, regardless whether it was originally a Pioneer, Eliminator, etc. So your package could very well be unique to any others as some of those options may have been chosen by the original purchaser when they bought it brand new.
  24. 87 is up at about $3.99 in central MA...
  25. I've got a K&N air filter and I average still about 19-20 mpg. Although I am running stock tire size and height with stock gears, so I'm not really that much use to you... :dunno:
