Cargo light is for the bed, not the B pillar/dome lights.

Can anyone show a picture of where the lower dash vent on the driver’s side is supposed to connect to? I’m not seeing any obvious places. I’ve connected the left side vent to an outlet near the top center of the dash.

Well, moment of stupidity--I was looking at the wrong side of column, thinking whatever that other switch is the ignition switch... and one of the two plugs that goes into the ignition switch was unplugged. Plugged it back in, and no issues. Still a little tight to turn, but I don't think it's bad. Doh! Thanks @cruiser54 for your help--and @eaglescout526, I probably don't need a replacement anymore.
-
OK--I'll get a replacement and give it a shot. Thanks!

If the key is hard to turn, is that a symptom of a bad ignition switch? Going to try to confirm tomorrow that there's 12V+ coming into the ignition switch.
-
If it has the cargo light + switch, I'd be definitely interested in it.
-
Heh, seems like an odd coincidence! @eaglescout526 any way to get a NOS one? I think J3250576 is the correct part no.
-
Just checked, none of those three things work while the ignition is in the on position. The ignition cylinder itself does seem harder to turn that it used to--not sure if that's because it's a new cylinder? I guess that wouldn't really make sense?

I know headlights and buzzer work. Fan motor I think is keyed off ignition, so that isn’t working. Not sure about turn signals and wipers—if they only work off ignition, then most likely not.

'91, I'll fill it out now!

I recently replaced my dash, which meant every thing that was plugged into the main harness in the cab was most likely unplugged. I got everything back together, and was able to get the Comanche to fire up without issue, radio was on, etc. Went back out today to continue putting the interior pieces back together, and went to start it, now nothing. Radio doesn't turn on no matter where the key is. Headlights, buzzer, etc. still work, so I know it's not a battery issue. Jiggled around with the ignition switch but nothing changed. That was one plug that I did not touch during my dash swap. Any ideas?

She lives! was able to get the new ignition in, everything connected, and started her up--cranked a bit but finally caught--not bad for sitting for a few months. Just got the rest of the steering wheel back together, everything works as it should. I noticed that the clock isn't turning on, and the gauge lights on the right don't turn on, nor do the turn signal lights in the cluster. I'll have to investigate, not sure what could be the issue. Hoping I didn't screw anything up when I was re-sealing the firewall connector. Just cleaned the rest of the interior parts, waiting on them to dry now before installing since it's cold--especially the seatbelts.

Rearranged, and all is good now. Thanks!

I swapped out the steering wheel with a black one that was fully assembled--it's possible if someone took it apart and put it back together? I can take it apart and see.
-
I'm definitely missing the washer for my steering wheel--not sure where it is. Any idea what size/thickness it is?
-
Alright, re-assembled and now the horn is constantly on once I put the relay back in. There doesn't seem to be any play with the steering wheel horn section itself (as in, if you push on it, nothing moves--so it seems that it's stuck on?) Not sure what to check-- after I put the spring lock plate back on, I just re-attached the steering wheel as an entire assembly--didn't take apart the 3 screws holding that plastic piece down.

Let's Play the game name that wire.

Made some progress over the weekend. Decided I need to get my butt moving as it's kinda unmovable in it's current state. Got the dash reinstalled, and re-ran the harness to what I thought the FSM had listed--had to take it all apart again as what was in the FSM doesn't really match what I have in my truck. Got to the point where it wasn't possible to reinstall the HVAC panel. But, rerouted for the second time, and I think I'm good--got the HVAC panel, radio, clock, headlight switch, and cluster all installed back into place. Good thing I bought a pack of these! https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/disco-automotive/lighting---electrical/electrical-ties---clamps/c808aaf11d21/disco-automotive-cable-tie/dis0/12286pk Got the black headliner, A pillar trim pieces installed. Figured I may as well do that while I'm there--I couldn't really remember how difficult it was to get the A pillar pieces out without finagling with the dash. Was fighting with the ignition cylinder, but just finally got it out--starting to get dark, so stopping here. Hoping I can get the steering column put back together so I can fire it up and move it around. I'm hoping with a new hood to cowl seal I won't experience any more leaks, as it may be a PITA to diagnose now that I put the dash back in.

Followed this, but can't seem to get my ignition cylinder out. Is there something I'm missing? The FSM says to take out the buzzer piece (two copper contacts + white plastic) but that doesn't seem to want to come out either. I've tried turning the ignition to ACC, ON, etc. and it doesn't want to budge. This is mentioned in the FSM, but I don't see anything? -
Sweet ride! Thinking about trading in my Gladiator for a newer S60... I think they look great, lot's of bells and whistles for a decent price (compared to German counterparts).

I’ve got two black buckets that I would like to swap for a bench seat. I’ll probably get the bench reupholstered so that it matches my black interior, so any color should be fine. Located in MA, so somewhere in the northeast to meet up would be preferred.

Hmm, the SD rep I talked to said they were sold individually, not as a pair. Maybe he was mistaken.

Is there are reason the SD springs are nearly twice the price as the GS springs?
