Is it just me, or did anyone else take great satisfaction in that? :D

Ha ha! Bravo to all those guys! Notice most of them (at least according to the news captions) were farmers are lived among them; that's how we get things done! Good old machine power and imagination.

:agree: My front bumper is designed for the winch it carries (not hidden), but the pan directly underneath the winch is full of mud and it's REALLY hard to get it out 'cause it doesn't have drain holes.

That took all of 10 minutes to get used to. Here it is, second day, and I'm STILL opening entire new windows!....Just annoying is all. :wall:

My dad switched his computer to it last night......and now I am annoyed: I don't know about you guys, but I like to use tabs for other pages and such. In the old Firefox, I could right-click on a link, go two selections down, click on it: walla! Tab. Now that's ONE selection down, and the one to open the link in a new window is two......very annoying.....

I know, the first time we watched that my brother and dad went on a big search about it. "Okay, zoom in....a little more....yep, that's an XJ......huh, they cut the back end off that......cool." :jump:

Don't I know it. I had to correct people twice about it (courthouse and DMV). "Yes, it IS a pickup....yes, it is a JEEP pickup. :shake:

Aha! You have solved my problem and won the prize (you'll have to buy something for yourself :D ). My MJ used to have an automatic transmission in it years ago (the people who owned it before me changed it), so this must be a leftover from then. Thanks guys! :clapping:

If I remember right, the guy I bought it from took them out of a '95 XJ. When my dad first saw a picture of the interior he couldn't get over wondering how the guy had hooked up the E-brake. :shake:

My dad found this do-hicky in the front bumper pan (my front bumper is built as the frame and pan that holds a 9,000 pound Mile Marker wench :D ) of my newly bought MJ. We didn't find any places it seems to hook to in either the engine or the wench, and have no idea what it is, so we thought we'd see if any of you guys had a clue what it is. It has the two electrical hook-ups that lead to a spring-loaded switch(?).

My newly acquired "toy". Specs: '88, 4.0L, 5-speed, short-bed, 3:55 gearing, D35 rear axle with Detroit True Track locker :hmm: . Originally an AW-4 tranny, then changed to a Puke Goat, now has an AX-15. Two 9,000 pound wenches: a Mile Marker and an X9: one attached to the front bumper, which is designed for it, the other attached directly to the frame in the bed. 267K miles on it. Has a three inch lift in the front, none in the back :nuts:. It has four (plus a spare) Goodyear MT/R 31's with...wait for it....Kevlar sidewalls. :D One plus of buying from an owner who works at Goodyear. :banana:

Mine was about dirty enough that I could nose up to a mud wall and you wouldn't be able to see me. :D Unfortunately, being able to see out of my windows is an occasional luxury that I like to keep, so dad and I both took our XJs to the car wash and after taking off the inch or so of caked mud: there was a pair of Jeeps! They even had paint that was a different color than mud!....But now they're kinda weird looking, not sure they're really our jeeps...... :hmm:

My '92 XJ limits me to around 70. Part of that is from the no-longer-circular wheels that currently inhabit my rear axle as well as some shocks that are needing replacement. Barring those things, I could probably do 80, no problem-my transmission wouldn't like it, but I could do it-without being shaken like a rat in a dog's mouth.
