    i would trade my mj in a second for a none rusted 5.9... but up here in canada either there rusted out or they want 7grand + for them.
  6. added some 31" baja claws with 75% tread i picked up for $175 and seafoamed it.. OoOoOoOoOoOoOhhhhhhh smokey baby smokey, couldnt see my even see my jeep, and i was SITTING in it there was that much smoke. purrs like a kitten now

  10. not trying to hyjack here but wasnt the stock ratio for the d44 in manches 3.07? i don't have a jack or stand here to lift the truck up and spin the tires to check... if it matters mine is an 89 with the d44
  11. can someone please tell me why this is done and the advantage? whats the difference from the factory set up,
  12. i had to replace these same bolts. all i did was take 2 regular bolts that had a decently large enough head. i ground down the base just below the head on the bench grinder to fit in the slot on the vehicle, heated them up with a torch and bent them to a 90 degree angle.. all told it took about 15 minutes and works like a charm. don't know if this helps you but its an idea.
  13. i don't pretend to be an expert in any way but it was my undersatanding that they started the switch from the ba-10 to the ax15.... i know when i got it the po had all the factory service manuals... 2 thick red books and 2 thin...not the haynes or chiltons... and one of these books is the service manual for the ax15.................. that is the 5sp right stick right? lol

  15. well i still have a few minor issues with the jeep i picked up for $425 but i just finished a 4900km (3000mile) round trip from ontario to alberta and back with no issues what so ever. The only work i did to it before leaving was plugs, air and oil filters, plus a drivers side floor. can't complain. question i have no is my cruise does not work, i changed the module under the dash ( no luck) the cable to the actuator on the firewall is not stuck.. anyone have any idea... also i randomly have a triangled shape light illuminate for a few seconds at a time on the idiot panel to the lower right of the emergency brake light... anyone have any idea what this light is for?
  16. i need to replace the joint in my front axle shaft, my question is before i rip it appart is this a press in joint or cn it be just tapped in like the drive shaft joints.. and how do i get the shaft out? do i need to open the pumkin and unblot stuff or does it just slide out when the caliper and stuff are off?
  17. will the distributer from my 91 4.0l work in my 89 renix? my jeep as a little sputter at low rpm driving, i want to take the dis, and wires from the newer one that idles and drives smooth but is not road worthy. and how easy and fast is it to sw2ap the closed to open cooling system
  18. ripped the drivers floor out yesterday... wow is all i can say there... today i ripped off the cap and going to sell it, and then changed the plugs. tomorow i am doing some patching to the tranny tunel in prep for the new floor pans that are arriving monday.
  19. i use it in every used vehice i buy.... swear by the stuff. pour a can through the brake boost vac, stall and sit for a half hour as stated... start it up and be prepared for the fire department to show up thinking there is a fire lol, ask me how i know :doh: i usually get a mile or two better to the gallon and better engine responce aswell

    i am going to get rid of the topper and put on a tonnuo ( sp) cover..can't believe for the $425 i got the brand new 31" rubbers, complete set of mint factory service manuals and the cb... po told me the clutch was going before i paid him... drove it home and absolutely no issues, grabs great. so stoked

    here is the jeep i brought home today... paid $425.1989 swb pioneer 120k miles on the clock 4.0l and 5 speed.. really good box and the rockers are steel, origanal paint. this is the other one i have a 91 swb 4l auto. box is toasted. the multi color is just me with spray cans trying to figure out a paint combo option... going with silver on the bottom and orange on the top. this one is going to be the trail rig.
  23. got an 89 comanche pioneer 4.0l standard.... need a clutch and the goodies... i am in canada and yes i know shipping will cost more. can't really afford a new one as i need to get it fixed cheapy so i can afford to go see my kids on the other side of the country for xmas... they are $375 new here...
  24. lmao ok thats funny, plans call for a 5.9l with a stroker crank and stock piston bore to keep cost down as much as posible. if i go truggy rear end i want minimum 35" shoes. swapping the d44 rear from the new dd to the buggy or may use the d60 i have laying around from a 2000 e350 ford van. sudjestions... also still lookin for truggy rear end pics
