put a light coating of petroluem jelly(vaseline) on the rubber to keep it from sticking...

you could just get a bodyshop to make the headerpanel match your orginal fenders....

finally did a spray out from the paint ive ben mixing at work

i had continential at's (same tread pattern as bfg) and i got 30k out of them.

u only need the fenders if your gona use the bumper. you can cut your stock ones if u you are using the 97 up bumper to.

What a coincidence, I once traded a 75 dollar 8.8 for a rust free MJ body. :yes: I paid about $800 for a 78 Bronco with a trashed body and parted it out for about 2 grand and got free axles in the process. lol nice.

yea lowered jeeps are ugly.

por 15 is a must for anything rusty. it will fade if in direct sunlight and not topcoated.

i got my 87 for 450 on CL. i was taking some old lawnmowers to the local recycler, and on the way in i spot a mint bodied 90 SPORTTRUCK comanche sitting on blocks with the 5 speed in the bed waiting to be crushed. i said how much for it, old man said he'd take whatever they gave the man for it which was 200 bux. handed him cash went home got some spares and loaded it up on the car trailer. once i got it home i was cleaning the junk out of it (full of paper reciepts and beer cans) and found the reciept were they paid him 300 for it lol. i sold the motor for 100 bux and got all the missing parts for mine and traded it to pete for an 8.8 and a black bench. i picked up a frame for my ranger in SC from a guy on another site for free. my dads mechanic buddy called him saying a guy at work had just ben given an 85 ranger with a bad transmission from his daughter. i called the man that night and he said he'd take scrap price for it(back during the summer when gas was super high) and he figured 100 bux would be fine. so needless to say, i own that truck now to lol.

plus the 2.2 is a pile of junk, fix the slave and have a nice DD :D

got one of the 97 up doors on the jeep and pulled it outside to work on my buddies ranger. latches arnt mounted yet tho. put my CHROME(watch out hornbrod)door handles/locks/mirrors on to. o and bo(shelbyluv) i broke one of your visors...whoops.

yea mines got manual windows so no big deal.

my glove box is on the drivers side, so it may not affect it?

k then ill just mount the striker lol. is that with the long arm rests or the short ones?

can i swap the stock MJ latches so i won't have to put in the newer striker? only problem i forsee is the rods for the later model inside door handle. the hole in the door looks to be the same(were the strikers hit). just a thought b4 i cut into my MJ(not like not scared HA). just curious to.

what year/vehicle is that motor out of? i need those manifolds for mine...

it actually goes to the hot wire on the coil pack to keep it from burning up.

the dash in mine is out of a 96. get everythign you can or find an XJ over there and cut it in half like in petes pic.
