You can't fit a tubing adapter with a 45* or a 90* hose end? I use straight hose ends. How much bigger is the 04 PS pump? I am all so doing a 99 intake but don't have a pump yet. I was thinking of going with a PSC power steering pump W/ AN fittings. http://www.pscmotorsports.com/-PK1652-95-06-4.0-Jeep-high-volume-pump-kit.html

switching axles/lift from MJ to XJ
mj Mike replied to nameless's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
If you cut off the lower control arm mounts (from the frame side) , like i did there is no going back . Go to the junk yard, take a drill, center punch and drill out all the spot welds on the lower control mounts, they will separate from the frame. Take measurements off you 97 to place the brackets on the frame rails of you MJ. Then, weld all spot holes. For the rear you are correct, the leaf width is different between MJ & XJ. You will need to weld on new spring perches. Unless someone else know of someone who makes after market frame side lower control arm brackets on a short arm kit ?? -
ya you can swap out that oil filter neck with a 91 neck from the junkyard. 1991 4.0 high output oil filter neck has 3/4x16 marked on the fire wall this is the on you are looking for. i have seen to styles you want the one that the oil filter threads on from the top. :wrench: you will need a 5/8 ratcheting wrench & some gloves. and find new Orings for the 91 oil neck. 5.0 mustang oil filter uses +1 quart & allows you to go 5000 miles between oil changes friends don't let friends use fram!!!

no the first one i bought for my Comanche was in good shape. the second one i bought for my Cherokee was not in such good shape :fs1: not the fins those were perfect but the filler neck was dented making it difficult to put on the cap with a good seal. I straightened it carefully with pliers. This same thing happened to a friend but he was not so carefully and he cracked the aluminum. He throw in his parts shed. I pulled it out to get a pic and this was the condition :headpop:

There's a lot of different AN fitting manufactures. This is Earl's #1 AN-6 stainless hose with Teflon inner liner, and speed seal hose ends. This hose lasts fore ever, and is air craft tested. This is the -6 stainless hose. Now we have -6 speed seal hose end Push the Red part of the hose end (called the socket), on to the stainless hose. Then you push the Olive over the Teflon liner. Put a light film of WD-40 on the male tip. I assembled mine with a small amount of Anti-Seize on threads. Lightly debur any hairs, be very carefull not to damage any of the Teflon liner. Place the blue part of the hose end (called the B-NUT) in a bench vise. If your vise does not have smooth jaws, install some. Then push the hose firmly on, and give it a little jiggle. Tighten hose assembly. :chillin:

I think its a 140amp, its off a 1999 Dodge Durango 5.9L, might be 136amp

Alternator Relocation. I relocated my alternator up top, for water proofing, and the larger amp alternator. The higher amp Alternator helps power my HID head light conversion, driving lights, and rear dust light. To put the alternator in this location, I had to make mounting brackets, and shorten my belt size. New size is by measurement 770 K-6.

U-Bolt Elimanator install
mj Mike replied to MiNi Beast's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
When I welded my U-Bolt Elimanators, I was running a AX15 2wd transmission. There for, even though I run spring over, I still had the set the perches at the stock location. Later on I swapped to a 4wd AX15 trans, and a NP242 transfer case, with a Rubicon Express slip yoke elimanator. When running a CV drive shaft, you need to adjust your pinion angle. :chillin: -
my stock steering wheel was in bad condition so i replaced it with a Grant http://www.grantproducts.com/products/browse/steering-wheels/ and swapped the dummy lights for switch gauges
