  1. Don't burn too much gas on it, it's not that important!
  2. Hmm, well I have obviously slept since then. Maybe that's why I don't see any way to vote now, maybe the polling tool is too smart to let someone vote twice! Just to continue the fun conversation, I can't see my name by clicking where you said, that's not clickable for a mere user I guess, only superusers!
  3. Those are not exact screenshots, below is the actual screenshot. The default is "All" checked only. I took the actual screenshot and used a picture editor to demonstrate what I was getting at when suggesting a non-guest option might be nice. Again, just a thought.
  4. I see a graph, but nothing that looks like a poll input to this newbie. But if you can point it out on the pic attached I will gladly add to it!
  5. I looked around for a poll but didn't find it, or perhaps that's something I don't know now to do. Regardless, my 1990 has 220,730 and runs great.
  6. An addition of "Not Guests" to the online user filter might be another option to include. Just a thought.
  7. I purchased my 1990 Pioneer new on 5/11/1990. The original window sticker says the list price as purchased, with the dealer stuff, was $12,456. I sure wish I could buy a new one just like it today for that! Odometer today reads 220k and change. Except for the oil leak, it seldom causes me any grief, and when it does the repair is no where near as expensive as my other car (which is much newer, it's a 94). I would like to get the oil leak stopped but the repair folks tell me that would take an engine rebuild, so I just keep adding a quart every 400 miles or so. One small benefit, I never need to do an oil change, just a new filter from time to time!
  8. OK thanks. So back to the comment you added in April to join "OG owners thread", what does that mean?
  9. That worked. I think part of my problem was that I was trying to reply to msg you sent me to join "OG owners thread", but since that was back in April (been busy) I was hunting for a way to reply to that comment, rather than the full thread and struggled to do that. I use a desktop primarily. Also, what is the "Quote" thing used for?
  10. Case in point, I suspect there is a how to use the forum, somewhere, but since I could not find it, I am having to post a new topic to ask either where it is. Or if nonexistent, request one. It took me, granted a new user, about 10 minutes to dig up what I previously posted. And another 5 minuted to figure out how to reply to it. I'm sure it's one of those things, easy to do once you know how. I am lacking in that "know how" so a tutorial of basic use would be extremely useful! Thanks, Guy
  11. Thanks Pete - that is a clever fix! And assuming I can get to the needle easily it would be a quick fix, that depends on if the plastic front can be removed without pulling the full cluster, TBD I guess. Thanks gogmorgo, I am not familiar with cruiser54 or MTS, but I am sure Google is!
  12. My fuel gauge issue is that when full the needle is around 1/4 tank distance beyond Full. The real problem is that the gauge read somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 when I run out of gas. This operation is consistent, but I would still prefer having an accurate fuel gauge! All parts are original 1990 parts and there have been no modification done that I know of... The only work I know of was I had the ignition switch swapped out once when I though that was an issue with a start up failure. At the end of that repair my AUX position no longer works, but I didn't find out the AUX didn't work until months after the work was done since it's not something I use much. I also don't know when I first noticed the fuel gauge issue so I can't tie the two issues together with confidence. From the post above I can see that I should be able to test the gauge itself pretty easily if I get it out. I have noticed while surfing some it being said that removing the fuel gauge is a PITA, so before I start, any advice on what I am getting myself into if I want to pull it? Any thoughts on the potential relationship to the fuel gauge failure and the ignition switch swap? Thanks.
