Looking for good bench seat cover
Classy Comanche replied to Whitaker717's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yep. Can do. I'll just have to find out the different between the bolster and the face. After I figure out that I'll be well on my way ordering it. I may just go all tan/beige since my seat is all beige -
Looking for good bench seat cover

Update. My bad. So I will go with vinyl. But my decision is the color and I'll attach the photos. When it says the vinyl bolster and vinyl face. I want the one that will show the most to be tan and like the outline be black. I have no idea which is which. I already found the color and color codes via clicking on the picture. Silly me. I just need to be sure which is which? -
Looking for good bench seat cover

Oh awsome! I'll probably go with vinyl. I must ask. Since my interior is nothing but beige/tan. What colors should I get? .....dumb question I know. But I'm asking that since therez many colors. If like a color code could be given for example like 35 C or something? It's on the website I just want it to match my interior is all -
Looking for good bench seat cover

Oh my gosh I've been needing a seeat cover! I say needing. Want! I'm trying to preserve my seats albeit they still look new. Are RayBucks good? I did check the price. 100%in my proce range. I just don't know what material you recommend? I have tan leather seats. Also, are they difficult to install since they are bench seats very close to the back on the cab. Thanks man! I've been on the hunt for seat covers. Hell I've been to the jeep dealership and asked and they literally laughed me out of the place and then made an offer to try and buy my truck. Rude, just rude -
I tell you, since I went to open system with the Mac tank, catch tank and new aluminum radiator. Best choice ive made thus far. Had a bit of an issue where coolant was....disappearing? Don't have a blown gasket, not burning it and definitely ain't leaking it. But it hit me. It sits in my rad and would spit it back up to the "cold" line🤦♂️. It sucks up and spits out what it needs from the tank. And I didn't realize coolant could do that, so I learned that admittedly. But if you have the option to change over to a open system, do it. Engine runs smoother, cooler and oddly I can tell it's more responsive when I hit the gas. Doesn't lag or feel sluggish anymore either, open system to me feels better and think it feels better since these little renix motors run hotter than motors today at a normal running/idle temp. Which I would actually would like to know? I've been told they run hotter. How hot? My Monte Carlo sits around 195-202° on average

Small Radiator issues?
Classy Comanche replied to Classy Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Oh yeah, that was definitely original. They just don't make them like they used to. But I love my new aluminum one! Cools so much better! -
He said he had it crushed for $200 worth of scrap. He watched them do it. It infuriated me but just let it go and walked off

So I heard whereabouts of a junked Comanche in my area. I found out the home address and paid a visit and asked the owner about his Comanche which was nowhere to be found. He said it set for so long he hauled it off to be crushed. Nothing pulled off. Crushed.....I'm devastated. It was a '87 Sport truck. Had tail lights and all. I just....I'm actually disappointed and upset. He had no idea what he had, let alone what the rear bumper, tail lights and cluster was worth. Very sad. However. I did call a scrap yard near me and they had a driver side manual window regulator. Which I've been fighting tooth and nail for and looking high and low. So at least somthing good happened. That's 1 less of the 18,600 on the road....

Oh I got me a brand spanking new aluminum one off rockauto. Came in today. Had a crack at the bottom out of sight, mechanic got up under it and saw it. So new rad it is! I'm excited -

So here it is. It's got a red interior mainly cloth. Apologies for the glare, sun was full shine today. Miles said 200,363. That's not terribly much more than mine. Mines at 176,000 and some odd. But this one looks like it needs some serious TLC, looks like a beater work truck really. But u also pulled the Vin! It's in one of the pictures. I think one of you can actually run that. Have fun! But here is one in my town. It looks beat, worn and very tired. Wish I could buy it -

I agree. Those colors are odd. When I leave work in a minute I'll snap a few photos of the silver Comanche near my work place. It has like wine red everything. Very intriguing -

Ahh, I meant on running trucks. Not sure if they'd want to part out a perfectly running one. But I'll keep my eyes peeled. Definitely unique colors! -

Yeah, I've seen lots of grey/black interiors. Tan I haven't seen and I have seen all red on a silver Pioneer here that's been setting out at a shop near my work. I like tan interior but man it shows any type of dirt or any in an instant -

What in the world did I just find???
Classy Comanche replied to Classy Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I probably will along with the window sticker. I did peel a bit of it back. And it looked good! But the thing is I'm in a odd spot. Paint is faded from being old. As all paint does. So I think the thick cardboard is what looks bad, not the sticker. But yeah I'm probably going to frame it. All this was just shoved back on a shelf, forgotten. Funny how small things like this just turn up unexpectedly! -

Oh that's cool! Yeah Mines a 2wd. Usually when you think of a Jeep you think of 4x4, but the 2wd is a good change. Just a fun little town truck. I've been meaning to ask about the trim models but got sidetracked with other things. I know for sure there is a base model in my state, 3 pioneers and one sport truck which had vanished. It was black with orange and red accents -

Aye! Thanks for expanding my knowledge on that, no matter the trim a 'manche is a 'manche. All are fantastic little trucks! -

Classy Comanche replied to Classy Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I did manage to actually find some more stuff. Probably no good but definitely a cool factor found some floor mats for it, I already have the cloth one in, the other old jeep mats, after market weather grade ones and now I found these. I found some door rubber seals which feels pretty nice, found a tailgate sticker which.....looks like it seen better days and I found a thing of Colorado Red touch up paint. Shoved way back on a shelf long forgotten until now -

This is super interesting. Love how different gauges were made for certain ones. Only thing I can't figure out is mine is a Pioneer. Pioneer and I assume the Eliminator were top of the line back then? It's odd to me that I have standard gauges while others had different ones? I have the upgraded steering wheel factory too. Everything is factory except my hoses, coolant bottle and soon to be radiator. Any idea why they put that gauge on my truck rather than the other one? Because I know there's like the base model, Eliminator, sport truck and Olympic edition and Pioneer. You would think higher up on the trim you go the more different parts you get? -

That's really all I want yeah, but hey if I see no steam and the hood isn't burning my hand upon touch hey we good! Just a very....I guess primitive way to have a dash set up? I've never seen one use mainly lights. Hell my grandfathers '65 impala had more gauges than this thing by a long shot lol. It really just sparked my curiosity and I'm glad I have yall as a group. Super helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for a better group!! -

Ahh I see. I'm not looking to swap necessarily, I just started looking and it hit me like "why do I have no gauges and everyone else does" and this explains it all. It's neat! I like the setup I got albeit it may not be as on detail as what is going on. Very unique to me. It's also funny showing people I have no gauges and them going "I'll be damned your right!" And get a good reaction out of them -

Oh how neat!!! Man that is awesome, thank you! -
So I've looked at a few of your guy's trucks and a few online for sale and some in YouTube videos. I have noticed a lot have actual gauges and such. All I have is lights. I have a speedometer and gas gauge and that's it. I just noticed how I haven't seen any other dash like mine, I didn't know if more were out there? I have a battery light, gas light, oil light and coolant light. A very peculiar way to have things set up on a truck from factory, but hey it's very cool in my book! I also ask this question because I have had people say "check your gauges for your motor temperature" I don't have a temp gauge, then I get the look like I'm crazy. Just a general question, that's all, thank yall!

Oh boy. As of the last almost 2 years I've been pretty much into specifically Metallica, AC/DC, Quiet Riot and even the newer rock such a Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold. Admittedly I like my music....a bit to loud? But as of recent I've been listening to exclusively 80's stuff. Before my time, I'm only in my early 20's lol. But to name a few I love- Carpe Diem Baby- Metallica Fuel- Metallica Ain't My B***h- Metallica Heat Seeker- AC/DC 2X4- Metallica Welcome Home- Metallica Indestructible- Disturbed Metal Health- Quiet Riot Nothing Else Matters- Metallica Shoot To Thrill- AC/DC That's just to name a few. List goes on, love seeing what people are into and listen to! I'm also into Rammstein too, no idea what they're saying but love they're rhythm and tone
