Hi guys I just recently started towing my 4 wheeler to take out deer hunting. I have some duralast shocks on the truck currently, but when I hook up the trailer it seems to get a bit squatty. I know with the size of the truck that is bound to happen, but I am looking for a beefier rear shock. Any recommendations would be great.

Will do. I will give it a try

What is the torque spec Cruiser?
-
It’s not leaking anywhere around it. That’s dry now. So is the head gasket area. I even cleaned off the valve cover. No leaks around it anywhere either. I’m stumped.
-
The dealership fixed it so I am assuming so. It looks dry around it though.

That’s the one thing I haven’t done is pop it off. Once I cleaned it all off at first it looked like it was coming from around where the starter was at. All be darned if I can tell though.

Hi guys I have been chasing down this leak for over a year. It’s just a slow drip but I can’t get it to stop. Neither can the dealership apparently. So far I have replaced the rear main seal, oil filter adapter plug, head gasket, valve cover gasket, new oil filler cap, crankcase vent tube grommet in the rear. It looks like it is leaking by rear main still and the starter bolt. I will attach a couple pictures but I have no idea where to go next. Quite frankly I am tired of chasing this leak. Any suggestions would be great.

Hi guys title says it all. I just got a 70 gallon compressor and have been wanting to paint the truck. Anyone have any tips or any good instructional videos to follow so I don’t acres it up too bad. I’m also not opposed to the spray cans. I know it will be a long process but I have nothing but time. Maaco was cheapest at 3600. No one else will paint it for under 5k and I’m just not doing that. It doesn’t have to be show quality. I heard painting is all in the prep work. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Paint color question

Thanks Eagle. My color code is BC. Thanks -
Hi guys, I have a replacement cowl I am looking to install, but it is the wrong color. At some point I am getting the whole truck painted. In the mean time, where is a good place to buy color matched paint. I have an 87 with the color briarwood metallic. Just looking for a spray paint can if at all possible. I just want to paint that cowl to someone match till I paint the whole truck. Thanks!

Thanks for the info guys. I am working on getting the hitch. It’s just a Honda trx350 lol with an all metal 6x10 trailer with 15” tires. I’m hooking the Comanche handles it well.
-
Already on that one. Lol. I’m hopeful!

That’s a helluva boat. I have a 16 foot bass tracker I would like to tie as well. The dry weight of the boat is 729 lbs. hoping I can tow it. Short distance at least.

Thanks guys. It doesn’t have electric brakes. Anyone recommend a good hitch to have installed? I will probably just call around.

Renix Cruise Control Kits

Definitely interested. -
Hi guys, just curious to see if my Comanche will tow my 6x10 trailer with my 4 wheeler for deer season. I am a bit worried with the size of the truck if it will pull it. Or stop. Also looking for a hood hitch recommendation. Thanks in advance. My brakes have all been re-done but it still makes me nervous.

I just ordered some from Kody Kilmer. Mine were cut off during a botched paint job. Going to be replacing mine as well.

Cruise control kit feeler.

Well you know I am interested. Lol -
So the bumper comes by itself. You have to buy the bracket kit separately. Removing my stock brackets wasn’t terrible. There were 3 welded nuts on the frame that bolt the stock bracket too. One bolt was a bit challenging due to the location. After that the new brackets bolt to the frame with 3 bolts. Then you just bolt the bumper to the bracket. Was pretty simple to me. I would say though there are just hitch ball holes in the bumper. I would not tow with those. If you want to tow anything I would install a hitch. That’s just me though.

I second the fey Westin bumper. Just put one on and love it.

I was looking at those but I actually just want a tan ripstop Fabric one. I’m not sure where to find one though. -
Looking for good bench seat cover
Whitaker717 replied to Whitaker717's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I’m not actually looking to reupholster my seat, just a cover to protect the existing one. -
Thought I would post this here instead of wanted, but does anyone have a good recommendation for a Comanche bench seat cover? Looking to cover the fabric bench seat I have. Thanks guys
