  4. I finally pulled the trigger on a Comanche. I picked up an 87. Says Sportruck on the side. It is an automatic with 4x4. Needs a bit of tlc but I can’t wait. Rust isn’t terrible for a Midwest truck. I will need som e parts so I will be hitting some guys up. Lol. I will attach a picture. Needs a new muffler, some rust spots fixed and a new paint job. Only 78,000 miles on it. Runs great! Will make a great work truck.
  5. Are there any how to videos around here anywhere? Being a newbie to this it would be nice if there were some videos to say replace a side mirror, or the dash clock, etc. Could someone point me in the right direction if there are? I appreciate it guys
  6. I appreciate it, I just want a work truck though. It doesn’t need to be show quality.
  7. I appreciate it. I will take a look.
  8. Hi guys, looking at a Comanche in Illinois. I would like to get it painted and have some minor body work done. Does anyone in Illinois know of someone who does this fairly inexpensive. It will be a work truck so it doesn’t have to be perfect. Thanks In advance.
  9. That headliner would have to go as well. On a side note, it has one black mirror and one mirror that looks to bolt on to the body. Which one do you think it came with? I like the one mounted on the door but not sure how easy that is to do.
  10. Thanks for the link and the input guys. Sounds like it might be worth grabbing. I’m looking forward to getting my first one. Love the feedback. It helps me a lot.
  11. Looks like it has a bit of rust on the doors but by door jams doesn’t look too bad. I’m still new to the whole Comanche line but it looks like it could have potential. Are those engines pretty durable and easy to work on?
  12. The interior looks in good shape. I love the tan. Has a nice ding on the passenger side pillar.
  13. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/607244033263281/ Looking for my first Comanche and I’m not sure if this is a good deal or not. I am willing to do some work for sure. Can someone tell me if this is worth trying to pick up for my first one. I would appreciate any input. In a side note, I’m not sure I did the link right. Lol. Thanks guys.
  14. Thanks 89 MJ. I do not currently but sounds like I will be adding one to the kit. Lol. Thanks for the reply.
  15. Hi guys, new to the forum so I apologize if this isn’t in the right spot. I am looking at my first Comanche, an 87, and I would like to swap the old black steering wheel and neck, with one of the stock 90’s steering wheel with the metal arms. Had anyone ever did that or is it even possible. Any input would be great. Thanks
  16. Hi guys, still reading up on the forum rules since I just joined. I live in Illinois and am starting my work truck search. I look forward to reading everyone’s posts and seeing pictures of their Comanche’s.
