Just trying to learn. I don’t have a lot of fancy tools for testing connections. The way it sputters tells me from my little knowledge it’s around the throttle body, so the iac or the tps. Runs great when it warms up.
Hey guys got an issue. In the mornings the truck was sputtering, so I decided to start by changing out the idle air control valve. Now the engine is receding up so high it sounds like it will explode. I took it for a drive to see if it would reset and nothing. It’s even shifting funny now. What in the world is going in here
Thanks eagle. I am going to pop the rear tires off tomorrow and take a look. I am having a bit of squeaking in the rear. Kinda sounds like they are dragging a bit. I’m not super familiar with drums so hopefully I don’t screw up anything. Lol
I’m looking to replace my instrument panel lights on the Comanche. I really would like to stay with the incandescent or old school bulbs. Don’t really want led’s. Any good recommendations? Mine work just not quite bright enough for me. Thanks
Thanks for this tip. I have been hearing some noises after getting mine redone. Silly question, but what side is the emergency brake on? Also my emergency brake light is on in the dash, would that cause that?
Follow up question to the rubber piece the worm goes through, can I just pick up a regular piece of black hose and cut it to length? If so what size and inside diameter?
Back to another episode of what the hell is that noise. As soon as I start the Comanche something behind the glove box makes this loud squeaking sound like a flap opening or closing. Makes the same sound when I turn in the fan from say defog to vent. Every time I start it, it makes that noise. Why would that be?
Somewhat of another silly question but do they make gear sizes according to this chart? Like 34 teeth, 33 teeth or do you just get a size close to what you need. Thanks for the chart that’s awesome
Yea that’s what I was wondering. The bigger tires were in there when I bought it. What size gear should I get. I’m going to change the speedometer cable out too while I’m at it unless changing the gear will stop the ticking or jumping.
I am running about 5 mph slow on my speedometer. My cable needs replaced I think because it ticks up to about 25 then flattens out. I am running 235 75 15 tires. Would that make me run slow like that? I believe I have the Dana 355. Do I need to change out the gear?
Thanks Eagle. I pulled it today, cleaned it up with some electrical contact cleaner and bam, the orange light came on. I can’t tell if it works though. Do most people leave it in power or comfort mode?
I’m looking for a good switch. I think mine is bad. Although I haven’t taken it out to try to clean it if they can be cleaned. The orange light doesn’t come on. If I am missing something or should try something first let me know. Thanks guys!
