Hey, that sight looks quite familiar to me. Except I had a few different things in there, like I found a couple matchbox cars, lighters, etc. But, no money, although that would've been nice.

Question on switches and gauge thingy
beaterjeep replied to feerocknok's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
There's a bunch of dummy lights in that pod...one for the 4WD indicator, one for the BRAKE light, and a bunch of other stuff that probably doesn't light up on yours (like mine) :D Pop that screw off and hold that front panel up to a light and you can see all the nifty things there. I think there's a seatbelt indicator, and a low wiper resivoir indicator (among other things) in that junk too..... Jeff Yep, and if you really look at it you notice some wierd idiot lights that you wouldn't think should or would be there. I'd have to look at mine again, but I remember scratching my head wondering about a couple of the lights. -
Well, I'm gonna make it 44 people that wanted stickers then.
-
Well, the only way I've seen to get euro tails is to do a hack job on the cherokee ones, or have a set custom made, so we are all safe on that one.
-
I'd be in for the flexed MJ on the back and small chest logo.
-
Can do, but I'll have to put them on my '88 for now, I'm mainly getting them to dress up the '86 (once I get it that is, LOL) because just like you said, I think it'll look sharp on a blacked out front.

Mine is ALL stock 2wd, unless you count a different set of rims off of a ranger, and some painted trim pieces non-stock.

After talking to a few cherokee owners around town here, I found out that one got his off of Ebay, (good luck finding any now) and one other guy ordered his online off of http://www.motorwings.com, I checked it out and they do have them, and have ordered a set just today. Just thought I'd throw that out there for those people interested. Oh, BTW, they are about $45 and about $10 for shipping, for those who wanna know the price before clicking.

Well, I thought I'd let you all know, I finally got the window crank off, (I used 2 big flathead screwdrivers and a small piece of wood to do it) along with the door panel, now the next problem is trying to find a set of hands small enough to reach up and take the old broken outer handle off, is there any tricks to that that I don't know of?
-
Well, my way of thinking is that it never hurts to go bigger. Less chance of breaking that way.

I honestly never really watched his show(s), but none the less when I read about that this morning, it was still a WOW moment. All I gotta say is that hopefully the cameraman and crew don't be insensitive and release the footage of the incident.

Sure, just when I was about to mention that there seems to be no interest in this type of thread, it picks up!

Thanks, now I need to get another tool in the tool box. LOL

any thoughts on 07 pow wow?
beaterjeep replied to wombat's topic in Adventure Planning / Regional Groups
Not to sound like a downer here, but come on, I live in WI, so no matter where gets picked, I'm looking at quite a drive, not saying I wouldn't try and make it, but is there any chance of having anything in the midwest region? I understand that there ain't much here, but it'd still be fun, LOL. Ah, there I go dreaming again, sorry. -
Ain't that the truth.

Man, this window crank is still kicking my @$$, I was able to see that mine does in fact NOT have a clip holding it in, but I still can't pull it off, it's almost as if the PO superglued the the thing on there, it won't give a millimeter. I think I'm at the point of saying screw it and breaking the d@mn thing off.
-
Thanks guys, now I don't feel as stupid as before knowing that there have been enough people out there that don't know how to get the window crank apart that someone had to make a webpage about it.
-
OK, now I feel stupid again, my DS outer door handle broke off when I clipped a deer tonight, and I can't seem to figure out how to get the windo crank off. Also I can't figure out how to take the inner door handle apart so I CAN take the panel off. How exactly is this done, thanks in advance.

This is what a 350 looks like in a comanche.
beaterjeep replied to possum's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
D@mn, man, that looks nice. Looks like it fits pretty good too, almost like it was meant to be there in the first place. -
I got this idea from another forum I am part of, it's a personal picture thread where obviously you post pics of yourself so that other people that are either new to the forum or haven't been to any meets can know who they are talking to. I decided to start this off as a kinda feeler thread and see how it goes. Since I'm here first, I'll start. For those who don't know, my name is Joe and here I am. Pic taken when I was up in Canada just a few days ago. EDIT: UPDATE. This is what happens when you find out your knee is toast, and you're hopped up on pain pills. Boredom.

The truck we took up there, a 2004 Chevy 2500 diesel, I swear, my truck could fit entirely in this things wheelbase alone And I'll finish off with a nice sunset pic from on the lake.

Well, I am back and come to find out, I was wrong on the location, we were in fact in Ontario, up on Factor Lake. Well, here ya go, you tell me if we had enough. And here's some more pics for all The cabin I stayed in The view off the back deck

But I thought that's why you have most of them posts, from asking questions about working on MJ's? If not then, yeah you do need to work on the MJ more.

If only I were going up there for some offroading, instead it's just for a get away from civilization trip. Maybe if we go back up there yet this year, or maybe next year, I'll take the new MJ I'm buying from alex up there. As for being 19, I only wish I was that young again, as I am now at the 1/4 century mark :wall:
