Well actually, the rotor with bearing slide on Knuckle Spindles not axle shaft. Parts are back together expect calipers and pads since need replace the pads and brake lines. oops look what happened to my front cover by left it in bucket of solvent for about three weeks (paint was all stripped and old rtv been soft up) no choice i gotta use plastic paint spraycan which thats only paint i have right now. -

ah sketchy, yes thats right its been terrible maintained from pre owner. I'm decide to take those system off asap after get new one in proper design. Cross member is pretty beefy up and good welds so i will leave it as it be. thanks and yes those axles r good expect front has been water logged. i already fix those issues an while ago. yes, Pete and I already discussed about those radius arms and wedges AND bump stop trick DIY -

alot of projects to catch up on this post *beware-alot of pictures* removed front coil bottom plate-drilled and retap the bolt hole. repaint the plate and the coils i used underbody spraycan on plate but por15 on coils Installed coil back on remove parts from front dana 44 off to replace axle seals looks good solvent bath(purple power) look at inside of axle guide. pretty muddy decided to grind the ball joint since lock bolt is seized and the ball joint is excessive loose. I have to replace anyway Got Front gear Differential out. feel like to por15 my shaft since its will touch alot of salt, mud, etc since i live near chicago where there tons of salt on road :( por15 coat after been cover by brake fluid when i removed the caliper out of the way. guess por15 isnt tough enough anti the brake fluid haha wirebrushed the long arm repaint por15 :) -
yea pictures would be help but my friend just arrived and got the carrier pop out like charm! good thing he live close with tons of pry bars haha once again thanks to mark the subaru owner! told you jeepcoMJ>subaru rocks! :D I'm gonna back work on front axle now

Just curious, did you pull the axle shafts out and remove the carrier caps holding the bearings in. um yes.... obv... lol axle is almost full naked just left are the carrier and seals When I removed mine on my rear dana 44 on my XJ it was real tight also. I took a rachet strap and wrapped it around the carrier and hooked the other end to my bumper and tightened it real tight and then hit the housing where the case spreader would go with a hand sledge alternating left and right and it came out slowly. Had to keep tightening the strap as it moved. Hope this helps. :hmm: sound like that method will give some damage. :dunno: ill try it later after my friend come by tomorrow with extra pry bars

one more question, don't my front axle have breather? just make sure -
dirt in there is pretty normal. to clean it, you can put some extensions on a shop vac and just suck it all out. the seal by the diff is fine as long as there's no oil dripping out the end of your axle tube. well there dripping out the end of my axle tube... passenger side so I'm sure that seal is no good.
