  1. I was looking through my notes after I saw that my coolant looked like river water. I had taken it to be replaced it the week I had purchased her. I showed a few members and they all mentioned the possibility of a HEAD GASKET LEAK? So I did a flush, flushed out the hoses top and bottom. Used 3 gallons of distilled to flush again. Ran for a second, flushed again. Filled with coolant and water. When I looked into the bucket I found oil contaminated in the coolant. looks like I’ll be doing some reading. any tips, advice as always is deeply appreciated!
  2. Thank you all. Iv hope to work to keep her in great shape. @eaglescout526 Thank you especially for all the help, and patience!
  3. It was super simple, it took 6 hours it was a demo test. My friend is using it for model making in architecture. It can print complex parts pretty fast. We used YT and figured how to make files and everything.

  7. Swapped out the old fender liners for new ones. Spent most of the time fighting the non OEM plastic to line up with most 6/8 push pin holes. The two top ones would not fit, but Ill take a heat gun and work them along the wheel well. Drill a new hole into the liner. Broke one of the mounting nuts clean off not paying attention. Guess that’s what I get for rushing through. I knew it was going to happen, could feel the socket heating up from the metal twisting. overall I’m happy with the fit of these, found a random cap that fell into the door space. Couldn’t find what it covered.

    Jeep vs Bronco

100% like ironically @Money_Pits mentioned. 30k base. The two door looks really good IMO. If I had to choose a new Jeep or this. I’d probably go with the ford over fiat. Suzuki Jimny is Badass for the price. Although Toyota’s prices are getting higher, and higher. Almost the same as a Land Rover. Toyota have a long-standing record for being reliable, good, easy to maintain investments. Japan has been doing a lot right. the legendary Toyota J70s...... I would make payments on one. Even come with an optional turbo diesel V8....I used to see these everywhere in colombia and southern Mexico. The new bronco looks really good though. I’m happy to see more outdoorsy/ adventure type cars being made. Hopefully it keeps the snowball of 4x4/ overland rolling.

    Jeep vs Bronco

My brother has a 2017 mustang, leased a Fusion, my sister has an the gigantic Expo. I have to pick them up from the dealership constantly. Were you have to argue for your warranty, to still be service charged out the @$$. I would never invest in a newer " Jeep ". Not only because of cost, but they have recalls on things like cylinder heads, Airbag software, catching fire, ignition switches, Fuel tank, inadvertent airbag deployment, steering software may disable the stability control, alternator..............The list is extensive. Many of the parts are critical or potentially life threatening. Iv had a airbag go off when I was hit, seared all my hair, 2nd degree burns and no use of my hands for months. Outside of the already likely mechanical/ software failures. Your airbag could Mike Tyson you randomly. ... Ford is in really bad shape financially. My brothers mustang with close examination shows were/ how they are making their money back. Fords strategy seems to be targeting the " sports " enthusiasts. People that do not mind spending money on ridiculously priced packages/ parts. ( GT, Ford Raptor, Etc ). Where they can make good money on the mark ups. I admire them for not taking the bailout, but they fired everyone from there factories. Although still primarily made in the USA,CAN I cannot say they have not earned my confidence.
  16. Had helped the original owner move some stuff around in the garage yesterday. His grandkids, and family all moved to Texas to flee our state’s growing tax burden. Figure it wouldn’t be too much of a hassle. While we were organizing he found his old Jeep box. Got the original window sticker along with some old receipts. In addition Instructions on how he converted the radiator to a 92. Straps roof rack for a kayak/ canoe. Very lucky to have a very organized first owner. A Korean War veteran, served after the war at Redstone - Huntsville, Alabama. Up until the late 70s. His wife and him have been together for 62 years. They are about as old school American as it gets. a little outside the conventional Jeep post, but I find the history of the car interesting.
  17. I just asked him, he said he had no idea. Were from a aftermarket truck stop
  18. you buy that yellow rubber wheel? my paints starting to dull and was gonna take mine off before getting the paint fixed. Love seeing the bright red paint under those decals!

  22. Seen a few really really nice camping set ups. Wanted to see if anyone was pulling a boat or had put a kayak on their Comanche? Recently was thinking of getting one but wanted to see what people thought about the investment. Getting into Fly fishing, and just being able to get away from the city relax in the Jeep. love to see what you guys are up too! Here’s two bass I caught earlier this week. one on a small baby bass with booted tail. second on dead sticked slow retrieve a wide lip crank bait. and a fancy salamander that walked up to me in Batcave, NC
  23. Defiantly are some genuinely kind people. He sent me a email not to long ago. Answering some of my questions in more detail. Yes! He would hall a small blue trailer. here it is on there last trip together. - always been big on fishing but he showed me his old Hobie fishing kayak. Mentioned that’s what the racks were for. Defiantly got me curious about taking one out.
